Nice to see people their workflow and how it reminds me of mine back in the days :D Only worked with FL studio back then to create all the sounds and samples, build the track and export all tracks to .wav files and import all into cubase to mix it.. Only had a shitty pc and fl studio kept on crashing when overloading my cpu with all those heavy plugins.. DAW software was not at the point where it is today:p If i listen back to things that sounded out of this world in 2008 on yamaha hs80m monitors now sound like layers of crap on a surroundsystem that costs more as that pair of monitors :D

Thank you for the video ❤ exactly what i was searching for 🙏 Could you please explain to me why the bass is on stereo and it is still ok? I dont get that point because literally EVERYONE tells you ALWAYS to put your bass on mono...
@shmam7523
@shmam7523 3 ай бұрын
Well the bass is in mono. Everything under 100hz is mono, but everything above is stereo. With the Imager from Ozone, you can individualy manipulate the stereo Image of 4 or more individual bands :)

Everyone seems to tell you to always put bass sounds in mono, because bass sounds have low frequencies. So the question should rather be "should the low frequencies be always in mono?" instead of "should the bass sounds be always in mono?". Back in the days, having low-end in mono was more or less necessary, because with stereo low-end, a vinyl record was probably unplayable due to the needle constantly jumping out. Today, deciding whether the low-end is in mono or in stereo is a creative choice. Some tracks by BSLS or KRTM have low-end in stereo, and this give a more industrial feeling to the track. What is today important is whether the low-end is still solid once you play such a stereo mix in mono. If in mono the bass is gone, then your track is again, unplayable - but this time on club sound systems (very often a sub speaker is a mono speaker). As a summary: having low-end/bass on stereo is fine as long as the mono mix is still heavy and solid.

Awesome video Marcin and LS41! I do have a question: how is the sample kick being made? If it’s from a sample pack; which sample pack is it? It’s hard finding a heavy sample kick like you guys used in this video. If you guys have recommendations for good sample packs for industrial, that would help a lot!
@MarcinRajski-

LS41 often use the Basilimus Iteritas analog module to make their own fat kick sounds. For us, digital mortals, what is left is kick drum layering for that powerful sound :)

So they don't use just 2-3 layers of kicks but a lot lot of layers, all filled with longs distortions process. The point is that they already done everything in this project so is quite difficult to follow everything. So I would ask you, may you try to recreate in a video, or more video, the full process from scratch?

@@laeshmusic3173 Would you like to watch Sam and Lukas from LS41 to make such a kick from scratch? I'm asking because I can try to copy/remake their approach in kick sound design (which can result in a more digestive, structured video), but I understand if you wish to see them doing that instead of me :D
@laeshmusic3173
@laeshmusic3173 4 ай бұрын
@@MarcinRajski- I though was another video collab with you and them,btw for me if you will make a similar approach would be great anyway. Important for me is learning new approach that I can use in my tracks.I guess you can make a poll, so the community can decide. Imho a tutorial of a kick from scratch, a kick made with all these layers can be interesting, but these are my 2 cents, you may try to make a poll, so you can see the reactions.
