In Notes or Safari or Podcast, you can ask Siri, "Remind me about it" and it will automatically create a link in the reminder.

I think you missed the fact that you can share an Apple Note directly to Reminders which will create a reminder with that Note attached. No need to copy links back and forth. Anyway, thanks for the tips.

You have great content - may I suggest you slow down you speaking speed and delivery. Pausing occasionally would let viewers catch-up to you and follow you better. I find that even pausing your video is difficult because there are no pauses to let me easily find where you are when I start again.

Thank you for these videos! I won’t use your videos to 99% the power you show them but I have such a much better understanding of the Apple system (shortcuts, notes, reminders) that I didn’t have before. Seems like so much stuff Apple does is behind the scenes and I never utilized its power fully. I will say when google rolls out a new feature I feel like they send me and email and the splash screen highlights new features way better. One of my hesitations to moving to Apple was the lack of power user features, but you’re proving me wrong with every video. Keep it up!

Haven’t watched the whole video yet but can you access reminders from a windows machine - I use a windows laptop in conjunction with an iPad - but one is worthless without the other (for me at least)

Pro tip for multi select: If you long press to pick up a reminder you can then keep a hold of it and tap other reminders. It starts a stack that you can move wherever you want. Hold Tap multiple others while holding Let go when you have them all. Works on your home screen too; with moving apps.

You can drag your apple notes to reminders and it will create a reminder with link to the note in notes app.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Been trying to find a good workflow with things like Trello and notability. But using reminders this way is the exact happy medium I’ve been looking for. Finally being able to use my apple products to their fullest potential is gonna be amazing for my channel and planning!

Unfortunately Notion doesn't offer the kinds of Shortcuts actions to allow for that.

That''s one of the reasons I did it with Bear. No way to easily get the Note URL in Shortcuts as far as I can tell. Will work on it though!

⁠@@beardfm How I do it: I create an Apple Note and then Hit ‚share‘ and select Reminders. You can then select the desired list you want to add it to and it will add it to Reminders and include the link to the note with an Icon. Same as you do with Bear. You can also share f.i. One piece of text from a Note and share the same way to make tasks in Reminders linked to that note. Haven’t tried making that into a Shortcut.

​@@beardfm I've just setup Bear Notes and as others here are saying, the shortcut isn't working. It seems like there's a problem with the "return to shortcuts" step. On my iPad it doesn't return from Bear. On Mac it doesn't return. If i disable the "Return to shortcut" step, it goes all the way through to reminders, but the correct URL is not available on the reminder.

Hi! Tried the Create Video Template on my phone and it stops at the Bear notes part. It opens Bear notes with the input given but doesn’t create the reminder. Not sure what’s happening.

I figured it out… On the third action within the shortcut, you have to click on the arrow beside “ask for input” and the toggle OFF the “return to Shortcuts” and then the shortcut will run properly.

Reminders is so close but still so far away. The fact that you can't have a task repeat from a completion date is kind of inexcusable. Will stick with Things for now until some stuff is sorted out, but I like the direction

In the notes section of Reminders, I can highlight a word, go to Format, and select a bullet point. When I hit return, it adds another bullet. It will automatically create dashes from the keyboard, but you have to put in the effort to get the bullet point. 😂

Shift + 8 then spacebar will give you a bulleted list. You do something similar for numbered list. Type 1 followed by . then spacebar

If you long press and move a note “attached to your finger” in Apple Notes you can drag it onto your Home Screen into Reminders and attach the Note to the specific Reminder. No need to share the Apple note.
