Considering the losses, why would you ever choose magsafe over a USB-C battery pack? - much faster charging, no overheating and you get about 20-30% more capacity at the same size...

After 30 seconds of watching your video, you had me lose. Having english for second language, I couldn’t get to think of what you had just said. If I may say, it would been good to slow things down, after all we are interested to learn. Tx

I've been seeing your video on my feed for a couple of days, but I thought it was just another one of those "Mac Mini review" videos. Today, out of boredom, I decided to give it a watch, and I’m so glad I did. I enjoyed it far more than any other tech video I’ve watched in a long time. I had to like, subscribe, turn on notifications, and follow you on your socials. It was an excellent and well-put-together video. I enjoyed it so much that I wished it were longer.

I've seen O365 applications get confused as to its credential status when dealing with Intune enrolled iOS devices. Closing them, to force them to check in from scratch helps with that.

Can you create a shortcut that works with reminders the next time I text a person? I want to be able to run the shortcut via Siri and have it ask me “which contact” , “what do you want to be reminded of?” And for the reminder to happen the next time I text the specified contact. I know reminders can do this manually but I can’t get it to work via Siri or shortcut

I’ve been struggling all day trying to get the LED Strip to appear in Apple Home. On Same network, updated iOS to latest, updated Bridge and Strip firmware, restarted everything, factory reset Bridge too. It works in the Hue App and shows Apple Home linked in the Hue App but doesn’t appear in Apple Home. HELP Any ideas?

Have you checked out the nimble fold 3 in 1 and/or the mophie 3 in 1? I just picked both up from the Apple Store and I love the profile of the nimble fold but the compact footprint of the mophie is very impressive. I think I’m going to stick with the mophie.

I use a Raspberry Pi4b to run Hoobs which is a opensource / freely available homebridge distro but also they sell a device that does it all in one. Pretty easy to setup and has been quite reliable. I haven't used homebridge straight up so i can't compare, but i have 3 plugin /"bridges" setup. Wyze, Bond (IR blaster), ISY (which is a semi flaky addon for old insteon devices through a 3rd party non-insteon hub. Also can support the super sold school X10 accessories, not that I have any of those. Pretty simple to setup as far as creating bootable images goes. Integrated library of lots of plugs, of which many are "certified" by hoobs to run. I recommend checking it out. I also use that pi with a filesystem mounted from my QNAP to share plex, like you do, except use some command line tools instead of a mac.

This thing needs USB C charging and the ability to tilt to vertical (straight up and down). The lack of either is a deal killer.

This has to be one of the most frustrating videos I’ve ever watched. Tried one of the shortcuts for the driving time and watched it on 25% speed and it’s still fucked so fuck this motherfucking channel. I will not ever watch a KZbin video to try and set shortcuts ever again.

I have an automation that switches to a black background when low power mode is turned on, just to turn off some pixels that don't really matter. And an opposite automation that sets the wallpaper back to normal when low power mode is turned off.

Love it. The only dumb areas of our house are the closets and the bathrooms. I’ve still got a bunch of z -wave and zigbee devices running on Habitat and Ring cameras on Homebridge. I’m hoping to get all the Hubitat managed devices changed over to Lutron in the near future. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone that automated text messages has problems.. if you can’t remember to send a good morning text then you have bigger fish to fry.. lol like they’re not gonna catch onto the fact that you’re sending a text every single day at the same time it’s just cheesy in my opinion.. 😊

I tried to use the shortcut automation to AUTO-REPLY to EVERYONE that text me while on vacation, at a funeral, or whatever, and I got this to work. However, is there a way to exclude anyone? For example, there is a lead service that comes through, and I would not want it to respond to this. Thanks! =)

I'll share this with my brother who wants my help setting up his new smart home but isn't sure what's possible with smart devices. I have been on my own smart home journey with Apple Home augmented by Homebridge for over 2 years now and it's coming along nicely. It may be helpful for everyone to know that you DO NOT NEED APPLE INTELLIGENCE to use Siri as shown with the phone/watch/homepod. Siri has been able to interact with HomeKit devices for several years now, so even older devices that aren't compatible with Apple Intelligence are still very much compatible with this kind of setup. Also, for anyone wanting to replicate this setup with 100+ smart home devices, be prepared to shell out a lot of money to make it all work so seamlessly. The Lutron smart switches and smart window shades are great, but the costs add up FAST, so be prepared to build up over many years. I'm about halfway through upgrading my dumb switches to smart switches and I'll probably be fully upgraded in the next two years to spread out the cost over time.
