I was in Seoul in May 2023. Yes I felt like Alien too. I can speak basics of Korean , but felt so isolated in Seoul. Busan was better. I was just chatting not wanting dates. Loved seeing you relaxed at the roof top Clamping.

In many European countries it would be the same, if you are going home after few months, it would be hardly any form of dating. Maybe a hang out with other friends, like in a group, but flirty dates, no.

The US has a lot of American bases. A lot of Americans live there. If you have many you might attend an international school with Americans. 80,000 Americans live in Panama. That's huge considering only 4.5 million Panamanians. The Canal Zone was controlled by Panama until 1999. The US made Panama into a separate country from Colombia long ago.

Let me tell you a little bit about Korean culture. A lot of them are taught not to date foreigners because of what happened with Japan the idea of keeping the blood pure is ingrained in Asian culture particularly in Korean and Japanese culture. Unless you’re like Caucasian you’re the exception to the rule if you’re any other race, it’s like you’re not acceptable, especially if they have older parents who are very conservative, and very conservative views, he may date you or have a relationship with you but it’s only to date you he’s gonna marry who is parents tell him to marry is getting so bad in Korea, that even in nightclubs and restaurants that they have put up signs that say no foreigners or everybody else can come in except this particular foreigner besides the fact that they have no the anti-discrimination laws, but that’s pretty much it that’s Korean a nutshellme personally, I would kind of like trying to marry a Korean guy within my culture or somebody that is Asian that’s been exposed to American culture or or western culture. I would marries an Asian from Asia. There’s a lot of stigmatizing in home and a lot of prejudice towards people who don’t look like them.

Latina girls are popular to Korean. But most Korean men are shy and reserved especially in front of foreign women. If you approach them just as friend at first, you can hook them easily. If you are looking for casual relationships, it’s easy because of Latina fantasy, but those Korean men who look for easy relationships tend to be huge red flags. For sincere relationships , start as friends. Many Korean men will have crush on you 😉. But to develop the relationship, the Korean guy should have some gut. Most guys don’t have experience with foreign girls and will be very shy approaching Latina. If he looks he really likes you , you can ask him out and lead the relationship. A lot of Korean girls lead relationships when the guy is shy or reserved.

I know a Peruvian happily married to a Korean I knew Mexican. Her marriage ended badly, but I think she has psychological issues. There are definitely Korean men who would like to date Latinas. However, you should go slowly with them to understand what kind of person. Many Korean men think Latinas are exotic.

@@yj8641it’s definitely hard when I am shy myself. I see a lot of Korean guys where I like who I find attractive but I always feel like they are only into Korean girls. As often times they are taken and dating another Korean. Also Korean guys in general just have very “Korean” taste. So a specific style and personality. They always want a girl with pale skin and “cute”. I’m sure I’m much different than what they are used to. I have had guys from many different races show interest in me EXCEPT Asian men. Either they have a very particular type and I don’t make the cut or they never make the first move. I don’t know which one it is. But I feel like they just have very specific and high standards. Im not one to approach a guy first so I’m just as intimidated by them lol

It's true almost globally even in progressive countries. They don't want to feel like they "owe" the guy something for dinner. Quite rarely will a woman truly want to split or pay when she likes you even though I've experienced it a few times.

The first guy kind of shot himself in the foot. 1. He didn't learn the language. If you want to marry someone who speaks a different language, why would you not try to learn their native tounge????? Lol im shocked. Also 2. He didnt correct the girl on the mexican comment, yet complained about being called one.... you have to explain. Its like... you're causing your own problems. There are several American schools, American bases. Contrast that with 60,000 Americans in Korea in a population of 45 million. That is like 750 times more Koreans.

That's funny how people always comes up with "language barrier"...pretty sure that every human can learn every language there is...Personally, I don't know anyone who speaks less than 5 languages... and that's normal. Nobody is going to brag about it. There are places like this, and then people are not so impressed or scared to knew/ learn more languages...even if it's not from your side of Earth....
