Alvin's listening posture is incredible. You can see he's really fully listening to whoever is speaking

Heartened to see this.... that the 3 handsome gentlemen are asking important questions for the clarity, benefit and future of our nation. Alvin, you did well. We know the fight will never end, we may have to take a pause at times but we as a nation will always rise up to the challenges.....and impress in our way how the world can be better.... never stop.... we are all about 30,000 days.

Just wanted to say I enjoyed this episode so much! Loved the way MOS Alvin explained everything, and I learnt so much! & cue the impressed look that MOS Alvin gave John - because not all Singaporeans see the Budget that way.

Get yourself someone who looks at you the same way MOS Tan looks at John between 23:20 to 24:00.

Asian countries perform poorly in provision of public services, spending a very small share of their national budgets on education, health, and social protection. Only 43% of Asia’s citizens have access to any social protection benefits. Asia’s taxation system relies heavily on collections from VAT and sales taxes, which often exacerbate inequality. Emerging and developing Asia’s tax systems are increasing inequality by 1.4%.

Instead of increasing the GST, RDU proposed increasing the Net Investment Return Contribution (NIRC) cap to 60 per cent and reviewing policies on other taxes and duties such as capital gains tax and estate duties. “RDU proposes that the NIRC spending cap be increased to 60 per cent for most financial years, and to have a variable scale of increase from 100 per cent to 60 per cent for difficult years,” it noted. RDU opined that the government will not need to draw from the nation’s past reserves if the variable scale of increase of 100 per cent was applied to the NIRC for 2020 and 2021 financial years.

You can tell if someone is really absorbing your content while listening is from their eyes. The multiple blinking shows that someone is consciously trying to pick up as much info while the others speak.

Interestingly or was it by intention, all of them are wearing Nike. Noticed these besides the topic(s) being discussed.
