I also feel that way. Elon Musk for example. Space exploration and eventual possible colonization of Mars and other planets is a lofty and ambitious goal. However, I feel that there is so much better projects and endeavors, that 195 billion dollars can do, on Earth. Imagine how many homeless people can be gotten off of the streets with that kind of money. Even building 1,000,000 really cheap homes, at $50,000 each, would be a big help. That's only 5 billion dollars. Which is a small amount, for someone like Elon Musk. According to Google, there 653,462 homeless people in America right now. 1,000,000 homes would excessively fix the problem, with many more homes to spare. When blessed with such large amounts of money, it's natural to want to buy alot of lavishly unnecessary things and travel the world, and I must admit that I would want to do a bit of that myself. But I would directly fix alot of problems with the world if blessed with 195 billion dollars.

The thing about the Addams family is how they aren’t money hungry, they just are wealthy, they give whenever and in generous amounts, you could ask Gomez for a millions buck and he’d probably just give it to you with a firm handshake

Long story short: Ever since such a thing as stocks existed, the Addams' have owned stock in just about everything, and had a hand in every business, industry and company big enough to be a corporation. The 1964 series is very direct about this, and every adaptation since remained faithful to this.

The live action version in the late 90's or early 2000's shows that Gomez was able to pick a stock that just keeps going up and up. It saved them from bankruptcy in just one episode.

@@3vart_ They've got ancestry stretching back as far as the early AD centuries, as one ancestor set fire to the Library of Alexandria. They likely got from Egypt to Iberia through ancestry in the Umayyad Caliphate, whether moving city-to-city over generations, or being deployed for the wars during the Reconquista. Assuming they were in touch with nobility even back then, they probably have a few genies sleeping in container treasures like jars and music boxes.

Yes, I know that Mexican people have Spanish ancestry, but the 1960s Gomez is an immigrant from Spain while the Wednesday Gomez's ancestors were indigenous to Mexico.

They don't seem to invest properly. The money seems to be in drawers and vaults rather than in stocks or businesses. Gomez is a lawyer who is terrible at it. He had his wife win Grandmaw Maw's case. The episode in which they remember how Gomez and Morticia met and married, they listed his assets.

I would say that his investments are hit or miss because sometimes they do bring a profit, and I said that he invests in business because he does own many business and buys more throughout the series. The money from the drawers probably was inherited, and that's true he is a bad lawyer because he never won or lost a case. Most of the money he had probably comes from generational wealth.

The money belongs to Fester. From the film, he’s the brother of Gomez. But he’s the oldest. So with that, based off the film, fester is the one who has the money. Not Gomez I think it was inherited, that’s just an assumption 😊
