Most of the bushcraft knives are made from carbon steel so you can sharpen them out in the woods. FYI, cotton balls soaked with Vaseline will light right up from ferro rod sparks. That's a really good looking knife. Thanks for another great video!

Yeah she actually carries fire starters similar to that when she hikes. Yep I like carbon steel for that reason.

hey brotha , rubber cement also works great n sustains a fire a very long time , soak those dryer lint balls or cotton balls in this rubber cement and you have instant fire guranteed , i am military here b.t.w , thanks > tom !

That is a good looking knife, kinda reminds me of Condor Knives from El Salvador as well as the sheath. Good job.

Yep they have one very similar but it’s pricey. We couldn’t believe this for the price!

Wait, what was that again?? Something about a knife? I got distracted there for a minute. I've always wondered about those knives, they seem okay but right now I'm stuck deciding on a QSP Bison knife and a Ruike R118 Jager knife, but then I saw a Cold Steel 4Max Scout that has a blade that looks like a Ruike Jager. But now I found an Ontario TAK 1 knife that's been pretty hard to find here in Canada, so now i'm stuck deciding between the 4 . I really don't care about ferro rods since I smoke & carry multiple lighters anyway, and if worse comes to worse, I could always make a bow drill to start a fire. I also still gotta get a Leatherman that I need to throw in my bug out bag so that's gonna cost me. I could probably get 2 of the 4 knives this payday.

Our channel is FULL of U.S and North Carolina products but god forbid I do a fucking $40 knife from the Ukraine that you can beat on and not worry about and here is someone commenting. How many Amazon boxes do you get per week? I’m not trying to please trolls because you can’t win…..if you don’t want the knife don’t buy the knife…

So are you telling me that if a bear is charging at you and the only thing you had was this knife you’d keep it holstered? Don’t be silly I’m in the south I know what pew pews calibers kill what animals but that knife is better than my fingernails I assure you.

@DownSouth_Adventures again, if that knife is all you have when in bear infested areas, you shouldn't be out there. I'm also from an area with a lot of wildlife and I grew up in the woods. If you go out without protection you shouldn't be out there.

@@DownSouth_Adventures We're obviously trained differently. I've always been told to play dead if a grizzly/brown bear were to attack. Different story with black bears obviously but there are none where I live

Is it $40? Lol If not I doubt it….my father in law is a knife maker but I don’t want to beat on my good knives. That’s what makes this one so enjoyable.
