All components are sourced from the US, except for some steel from Germany. Given that it involves 100% US labor, research and development, along with meticulously planned details and real-world testing, $300 is a reasonable price for a reliable self-defense tool. How about just getting a Spyderco Para 3, made in Golden, Colorado, out of American steel, better alloy, for half the price and twice the utility? Same 3" blade with the thumb ramp, they even made a tanto version at some point although I'm pretty sure a distal taper almost dagger-like point is stabbier than a tanto given the thickness behind the edge.
@InitialFailure3 ай бұрын
For a fixed AEB-L steel, little known company, $300 is ludicrous. $300 can get you a fixed blade magnacut from a well known company, U.S. with a lifetime warranty. Much like this channel, it looks good in a tight shirt, but with a closer look, it's all superficial and doesn't make much sense.

Hi Melissa. Talking to you from South-Africa. Have seen a few of your videos. I am in Law Enforcement and VIP Protection , since 1980 till current. Done numerous martial arts and bladework and still involved in training/ teaching. If you don’t mind, I would like to comment on above review. I notice you not mentioning the actual secondary point on the blade and you also don’t test it’s slashing capabilities. I am sure you are familiar with Cold Steel owner, Lynn Thomson. HE was actually the one that was instrumental in some of earliest “Tanto” style blades, since the 80s. The original Tanto angle was at 45 degrees. It was done because the average person will naturally hold the knife, front grip, blade forward, at this 45 degree angle, if asked to do a horizontal slash at a target. The SECONDARY point at bottom of these blades thus pierces the target, while the rest of this front part of blade is pulled through the target. If there was no secondary point, but instead just a continous rounded belly, it will NOT dig into target as easily. Try it, you will see. The next reason is that the secondary point is hsed for “ snap” cuts. Check Cold Steel’s videos, you will see. Well, hope this helps. Good luck with your testing . Hannes

The size is perfect, the design is pleasant and smart, black is tactical, the thickness of the blade is ideal, it does what it promises, the manual is super complete, I would definitely buy one but I live in Brazil so it's a little more difficult ...!!!! And when talking about the price of something, it is important to recognize the process that led to the existence of that product, the studies, the tests, the expenses, the investments, the failures, the time it took, all of this must be taken into consideration and said So, the price is very fair! And you are always very honest and that is very valuable! Kisses and good night!

yeah, that blade design is a survivalist's dream as it can be clipped at the end (place your thumb over the end of the blade and slide down until a perfect triangle appears, that's your arrowhead !) for an arrow head and then you'll be left with a box cutter style blade. Very nice actually. You'll have to wedge the tip into a crevice such as stabbing it inot a log or wedged between cingerblocks or rocks just above the cut line and the by wiggling it back and forth after it's secured it will snap the tip off ... then you'll have an arrow head, attach it to a stick that is shaved down to a shaft, use the box cutter style blade left over to make a notch and piece out fledglings ... you got the arrow , just need a bow. Very nice for not being full tang. Pocket knives are always valid or vialbe for a throw away tool, or a knife you'll willing to lose. Thumbs on the video presentation.

That was some great testing you did with that new knife ! Great features and I can understand why the design is that way ! Very well presented! I have a flipper that has that classic Tanto design blade and it’s blade length is 3”1/4” ! I really like it !

A little pricey for my budget, but the overall ergonomics and quality definitely make it worth the cost. Awesome review!

Wow. Even at $300, this is sold out already. This is something I've been looking for for some time now. Guess I'll have to check back again. Great video.
