This analog circuit seems to be pretty fast at response. Microcontroller based levitation circuits are generally slower due to the processing time of the microcontroller. Op-amp based or descrete logic based levitation circuits are very fast. You may think of an FPGA based levitation circuit. Love from India. ❤️

I am so grateful to see someone taking the time to explain the actual things you need to know. Quick question: I am assuming the potentiometers are for calibration. Do they help with accuracy or height of levitation. If you have played around with these potentiometers, can you please share some info on what do they allow you to adjust. Thank you.

If you refer to the Chinese schematic, or an ohm meter, you'll notice the X and Y sets of coils are connected in series. The opamp Hall control only modulates the field strength of the entire axis, not individual coils. If the magnet wanders up or down in the Y axis, the Y power will drop and likewise in the +/- X axis. The Z axis is only used for the comparator to turn on the circuit in the presence of a magnetic field.

Can upgrade and make magnet locked so there is high resistance so you can't push down, so the magnet bouncy is much less, the up and down magnet field is less too, so you increase the magnet field, you decrease up and down so you locked it so can't push up.

I purchased a diy kit but unable to make it work. I was sent a debugging guide showing a multimeter connected where the jumpers are placed. You have to adjust each one (Y & X) to zero amps, but mine is not reading anything :( The led only lights when the floating magnet is placed above, which is correct. What could I check to determine what is wrong with mine? Is there a way to check the coils to make sure they are working?

OK, I was playing with mine and I can't make my 2 magnets to do anything but crash! My 2 adjustable pots are not 10K but 100K!??? That is what came in the kit. But when I measure them, thy are 0-435K, so mismarked and they are not smooth when dialing in the values. I'll try to remove them with 10K matching once and I'll put them right in the middle 5K both. I also can't get the LED to light up like it did once year ago. (It just blinked and at that time, I didn't know what for. Now we all know that it's function is to tell you of the sweet spot position of the magnet!) OK so I soldered in new 10k pots, set them both to 5K, but I get the same results - no go! I have the same problem like most of the guys here mentioning: the magnets do not levitate but just push to any of the 4 side magnets. So somewhere is a problem that I can't figure out. Almost like a dead circuit, but I do get 12V everywhere I should. What are the 2 jumpers - some Chinese word above them - for? Are these some test ports? Are they there to enable or disable something important for calibration? Thank you for your videos! Happy new year 2021 and many more subscribers and supporters!

@bipolarchemist
@bipolarchemist 5 жыл бұрын
Don't know what coils they are, but you can probably make your own. The wire looks like it might be 24 or 26 AWG with about 20 or so layers. Not sure how many turns per layer or what the core is made of, but it looks like it might be aluminum and if the magnets are 5cm, then the overall coil length is approximately 15 cm. With something to serve as the core for wrapping, a few nuts, washers, bolts and varnish, you should be able to make something close to the ones supplied in an afternoon. I, personally, like to use bobbins for sewing machines as they are pretty inexpensive and leave you with nice looking coils.
