Hi! We are Phil and Alex! After leaving California in an RV, traveling full time, and helping our littlest with an open heart surgery, we've settled down in Tennessee. I'm only 4 minutes in and I can't watch you guys do this to yourselves. I'm going to echo some of the most unpopular comments here. This is no longer a "covering all our bases" infertility journey, this is getting into the spooky desperation of "I'll try anything." Did a medical doctor oversee this? Like your infertility doctor, a person you trust who has given you good results in the past? If they did, please say so up front. Otherwise this just looks like an advertisement for snake oil. I've been down this road. It doesn't lead anywhere good. There is no medical evidence toward anything claiming to "detox" your system. Your body is completely capable of doing that on its own. Nothing you eat will cause your body to stop doing it's job unless you're eating literal poison. This is dangerous both physically and mentally and you're sharing it with other people who are just as vulnerable as you. Please find a healthy relationship with your infertility. This is not it.

Apart from a stimulating a surge of bile production, the oil will increase transmit time so rapidly you're likely to push your bodies into an electrolyte imbalance. The 'detox' will come in the form of withdrawal from caffeine and sugar etc which will give you a sense of wellbeing. There's crunchy and then there's reckless.

I have been watching/following for several years. We also have met, and I felt different after that. It allowed you two to be more real to me, real people and not just something I watch. For a long time I have struggled with your non stop, relentless desire to have another child. I am not judging that, but I cannot get past how very unhealthy this is. At what point do you say enough is enough? You are talking about leaving the community, uprooting your kids, leaving the home, and land you have cultivated, to drive to Cali and be with a doctor who you think will give you what you want? What about the stability of the children God has blessed you with? I can no longer watch. This is not healthy for me. I do not see the gap between your desire and Gods plan for your life. Yes, having children in the right context is not a sin, but this has become an obsession that is leading you down a road of headache and unhealthiness. Just because you want something, does not mean you will get it if you go to the ends of the earth, turning over every stone hoping God will have mercy and bless you. No oil or cleansing protocol will change Gods will. Where are you showing others how to pray and hear Gods voice? Where is discernment and being open to what God has? I again understand desire and want, but good grief! Not everyone can afford the road you are taking and not all want to be on KZbin to either teach others, or make money so they can do it. Infertility is not just trying to conceive, it's also being in a place of acceptance. That is what so many are longing for. Accepting the outcome, being at peace and moving on. When you are not willing to accept anything else, how can God show you what He has for you? I hope that you both find peace and are willing to accept what may not be what you want. Blessings

The trouble is unless medical studies are done with proper protocols followed you will never know if it works or not. Justin and Rachelle and Brad and Rach on youtube were infertile, supposedly impossible to naturally conceive. They did IVF successfully and each couple had a surprise natural birth also. So every so often this is happening naturally to infertile couples. If they are doing something different and conceive they are going to think what they did worked, tell everyone and others jump on the bandwagon. We have medical associations to sort through remedies and tell scientifically through double blind studies if something works. It upsets me that anyone can claim this or that works without proof and charge vulnerable people an arm and a leg.

@@ga6589 Agree. This happens to several vulnerable populations. Chronic illness sufferers, cancer, infertility, and mental health. I also get frustrated that these populations get taken advantage of, particularly by the naturopath type folks. It's all about the money for them, too.

I am really concerned about the direction yall are going and the information you are sharing. There is a lot of pseudoscience and bad theology being said in this and I hope people take note of that. My mother believed and practiced much of what is in this vlog and was a devout Christian who was "word of faith". For anyone reading - she is dead. She died at 48yrs old. She was not "healed" and she was unable to "detox" her body, etc.That was 25yrs ago and it seems there is a cycle of this kind of thinking in Christian circles. While I believe we should eat whole diets, use herbs, be active, and be mindful of medications/big Pharma and the like - there needs to be some discernment when preaching this type of holistic/natural/pseudoscience practices and connecting it to the theology of a Judeo-Christian God and saying that is how "HE" wanted it to be. For years I have watched yall and for years I have steered people to watch y'all navigate infertility, adoption, IVF etc to all people of all walks of life, Christian or not, but this is going down a road that makes me and I am sure other viewers uncomfortable. It is actually alarming.

This does seem to run rampant in many Christian groups, and many get so caught up in it that they talk about it with the same religious fervor that they do the actual gospel of Jesus Christ. I think it is super important not to conflate snake oil with God.

They are "looking beyond the mark" and honestly I hope this doesn't "work" in the way they expect just so they don't incorrectly associate it with any good outcomes they may have, which could lead others down this path and cause direct or indirect harm.

Goodness gracious its just a liver cleanse. My hubby avoided gall bladder surgery by doing this and passed over 100 stones. It works. Not pseudo.

@@angelalopez4843 Actually it is pseudoscience. As someone who did this multiple times - wait for it - for gallstones - I can attest that to some degree it will work and then it WILL NOT. Bc what can happen is that one or more of those stones can get stuck or infection sets in and you can get really sick. This is the voice of experience. I did manage to go years to avoid surgery until I couldn't and became VERY sick. Then I got to take a whole lot of big Pharma drugs for WEEKS all bc I wanted to avoid a surgical route. So don't be too shocked when you're hubby, especially if he has a health condition or is obese, that one of those suckers gets stuck or worse. Just because it works once doesn't meant it will always work or that it doesn't have the potential to make you sicker.

My infertility journey ended 4 years ago….but I have stayed with you guys to watch your journey. You motivate me & give me so much encouragement because I am now on a health journey & will soon be fasting & cleansing my body to heal from the C word. I 1000% agree with you guys & we aren’t designed to be on medicine. It is wonderful for emergencies & accidents, absolutely. But God has given us everything we need on this earth (naturally) to heal our bodies from “diseases”. Food is the culprit & food can be the cure. @@beckysmith1602 if you can afford it try seeing a functional doctor in your area. They treat the root cause. Just look up functional doctor and the city/state you are in. You can also ask around your community i.e. farmer's market or health food store. Many blessings for guidance & healing.

I think you would be better off to have dialysis! Medicine does not stay in your system for years, your body processes it out! If you had multiple barium swallows or scans with dyes, you might need a high motility diet but this is just self hypnosis!

Alex, I mean this in the best most loving way possible, but I think you would benefit greatly from some therapy, the all consuming desire to have another biological child is not healthy. You are blessed with 3 beautiful girls, and have had the opportunity to carry and birth a biological child, if you desire so strongly to grow your family, there may be other ways that you should be considering, but it seems as though your mind is stuck in a toxic cycle, not allowing you to think about anything other than infertility.

Alex I lived with severe IBSD for 12 years till I went to a digestive specialist and went off all dairy and gluten products to have a normal digestive track. I told my doctor my symptoms but not really how bad they were till my oncology nurse suggested i check with a digestive specialist. Sure enough that helped me. She even ran Tests for celiacs disease, but I didn't have that. I know you eat health and that may not be you problem but I just wanted to say its a joy to watch your family and highs plus lows. I struggled for years with mystery symptoms and a naturopath (who is a believer and not totally new agey) diagnosed me with Lyme. I did a detox and I put zero faith into it since we had tried so many things. I started slowly getting better though! Today I have no symptoms. I hope this helps you two. It can feel weird deciding to try the snake oil... But sometimes it works!! God bless your family.

I know this comes from a really well meaning place, but please be careful when talking about it being the best and most natural thing to cut medication out of your life. There’s already such a stigma around some types of medications, especially for mental health - and I do believe that natural methods work for some people for mental health too - but for some, there would just be no quality of life or no life at all. I’m all for a natural approach where possible, but have also seen my husband’s life completely transform as a result of biological medication he’s on for an autoimmune disease that would literally fuse his spine together as a young man if he didn’t have it. The first four years of our marriage I had to tie his shoes and help him out of bed because his back was so bad. Now he’s tossing our kids in the air and jumping with them on the trampoline, and I would hate to think he would ever be made to feel like his choices were unnatural or wrong for him.

So glad your husband is doing well!! I think they are taking more about over the counter pain meds, cold and flu meds, things that you might be on such as blood pressure medications if you are unhealthy and could potentially go off of them if you were to lose weight or change your eating habits, etc. There are medications that Phil had to be on (and Cassidy too) to ensure their heart health so they don’t mean things like that. At the end of the day, everyone is on their own path and living their own lives. I’m going to keep grabbing my advil when I get headaches 😊

This makes the colonoscopy prep look like a walk in the park and I've had four of them. Hope the liver treatment is beneficial in some way, as I'm sure it didn't come cheap. There are limits as to what I'd put up with, infertility or not. I almost lost my lunch watching you!

Back before I had my gallbladder surgery in 1982 (I was 29 years old and had recently had my 2nd baby), my mother-in-law told me to think a bunch of oil and lie down and the gallstones would pass. My doctor said that would’ve been very dangerous for me. Sometimes gallbladders can rupture and stones can get stuck. I was trying to put off the surgery until my baby was 1 year old because I was nursing her. We made it til 9 months when I had an awful gallbladder attack, had a fever and ended up in the ER. Back then they didn’t have laparoscopic surgery, so it a full open surgery with a drain. I had over 400 gallstones and I shudder to think what would’ve happened if I had tried the oil treatment for my gallbladder!! Fortunately, was able to keep nursing my baby for another 4 months or so. I had to pump and dump the milk from the day of the surgery, but after that, hubby brought her to the hospital 3 times a day.

I’m all for let food be thy medicine, but I feel like this is not only unnecessary but also could potentially cause more harm than good. Our body does a great job already of “detoxing” through our skin, liver and kidneys - which Alex would know as a trained nurse, but taking on board all this pseudoscience and sharing it is in my mind irresponsible. You preach about how incredible your new life style and diet it… yet it’s not enough? You have a week of this “cleanse” but you have no scientific benchmark of where you were before or where you will be after, I hope for your sake it works but I feel that moderation, balance and the advice from your doctor would do you better than extreme (and unregulated) alternatives. All the best.

I was listening to a podcast this morning, wanting to glean what the Lord wants me to know. The words said rang true for me, and it dawned on me what I wanted to say all along but didn’t know until now. With all the things YOU are doing to try to get pregnant, how does it leave room for the Lord to act? You are doing all the things in your power, but not Gods. If it when you get pregnant, it will be because of the concoctions you drank, the detox, the doctor you want…..yet, what about God? Perhaps He is waiting for you to STOP, rest in Him and let Him work it out. If it going to happen, then He will make a way. Not the protocols.

They can’t. Despite their 3 beautiful children they (more accurately Alex) are obsessed with getting pregnant, despite that nature and biology are sadly not in their favour. They’re determined to have more no matter the physical, emotional or mental cost. I hope they can find a kind of peace around infertility because they seems to have very little.

Dear Alex and Phil. I hope the cure will help you. Not to be negative or mean, but we have learned in a program on public television that infertility occurs when we as a fetus develop the genitals, both boy and girl. But we can help ourselves by living healthily and avoiding smoking and drinking. We cannot drink or eat anything to improve the condition. Hope you will be the proof that we can do something to help ourselves. Good luck.❤

I have been a follower from the beginning, not because of infertility issues but just to find your channel on accident. ( Nothing with God is by chance, though 😅). Anyway, I have prayed for yall and will continue to pray for yall. God's will can be scary and hard but ultimately worth the wait and suffering we do in these trials. Also, seeing yall move across the country was cool. You settled in my birth state and a few hrs from us in GA! This area is a special place, and God for sure led you this way. Just gonna be honest here, you guys look ROUGH!! That cleanse sounded terrible... You guys are always so positive and uplifting and that nearly broke you. I would encourage you to have a look at the Carnivore diet, look up Dr Barry. My husband has been doing it since January and he has lost 17kg, is completely off of his PPI meds and is arthritis flare-ups have started to subside. So maybe it could help you too

My husband and I have been researching a lot about detoxing and it may even be this protocol specifically by look of the box in the shot. We are still on the fence about it but a lot of the naturopathic specialists seem to recommend it. I hope you see results in your health journey and will be praying for you both! I know a couple with infertility that went to a naturopath for several years. They finally gave up and went to a bonified fertility specialist. Guess what? The things they were doing with the naturopath was harming their fertility. The Dr. gave them some fertility drugs and a few months later...boom baby 9 mos later.
