I love this. I was so upset when I got into cycling and learned that there are college scholarships for cycling or even races that weren't the tour. Growing up we rode bikes as transportation only so I'm so glad these men and women are getting into the sport early enough to compete at the collegiate and junior levels. Thank you so much Canyon and SAU. This is hugely inspiring of mu mission to bring competitive cycling to the inner city

So awesome to see more African American cycling teams especially in the university/college level!! Would love to see L3gion partner up and mentor these athletes when the time comes.

I'm so pumped. Major Taylor is one of my heroes and I can't imagine how proud he would be to see that his legacy helped to enable something this amazing to happen all these years later. Or maybe he'd wish it'd happened sooner...

The physical barrier of entry into our sport never crosses our mind as adults - it's second nature. Great to see cycling being brought to students from the ground level.

I love that Canyon is showcasing this. Thanks to the staff and faculty at St. Augustine's for making this possible. I plan to support this team however I can going forward. The fastest most powerful athletes in the world on two wheels! It's only a matter of time, that's why Major Taylor was excluded to begin with because the organizers and other athletes knew he would dominate the sport. Watch out Tour de France, Giro, La Vuelta. We're coming for your palmares!

Honestly I probably would have been more eager to go to college or university if they had cycling team.
Just make the bikes more affordable and you can have all of the world ride nice bikes anywhere

Well done Canyon!! Have you ever considered making an electric road bike where the battery pack goes into a backpack to reduce weight of the bike itself?

Black people tend to be more Genetically more athletically gifted. We would dominate any sport that gives us a athletic advantage.
