So if anyone is interested in these systems. I HIGHLY ADVISE getting a ryzen model becauseyou cannot access the BIOS on these prebuilts...BUT...with "Ryzen Master" you can do basically everything a simple uefi can do.. access things like ram speeds etc..which is necessary if you're upgrading ram and want higher than default speeds.

This is my main rig. Replaced the cooler on the 5600G, added a 1TB drive, have a 32GB kit coming, going to grab a 4060 or 7600XT towards the end of the year to replace the 6400, added a 120mm fan at the intake and cut two of the brackets off another and modded the case a tad to fit another in the rear. Both run off a hub remote controlled, helped tons with thermals and compliments the mirror on the front on a solid color. Going to add a 1TB sata SSD and that GPU upgrade, I'll be good for awhile 👌 Also, I think? that's an HP 4060 they put in the Omen?

Just to be aware with 5600G it has less PCIE lanes than a normal non G CPU. This means your GPU will run at a lower setting not x16, likely x8 or x4

The main reason why people hate it is because it has 8gb of vram when the 3060 has 12gb vram people are very particular on vram and 3060 is the same price as 4060 I would rather have it over the 3060 but again people just like having more vram and that is just simply it but I will say the 4060 would be a better card if it was 249 or a little lower so that way it would compensate for that lower vram

But I now have a rog ally and I'm docked all the time basically using it as a desktop and have it plugged in my monitor. It's a 144hz predator. I get 102fps at medium settings 1080p. I need something strong bro I want high settings or ultra and like at least 200fps to see the beauty of the graphics. Gta 6 is coming out soon and I want to see it's beauty. What are your thoughts?

@@imrelentless97 you could get a ryzen 5 5800x if your mobo supports it and maybe a rx 6700 xt. That's pretty light on the wallet and should get you playing GTA 6 with 60 fps at 1080p (probably not max settings though) or you could always build something new. Anything latest gen will easily run all of your games. I'd also avoid the 20xx series of graphics cards, they're not much better than the 16xx series. If you only want to go with nvidia and don't want amd gpus i would get a 3060 and above.

Of course they have a ton of these... there's no realistic upgrade path for them. These were the e-waste prebuilds from the time of the graphics card shortage. The motherboard, case, and probably power supply are all proprietary (and hamstrung.) Be very aware of that before you buy one of these and then want to upgrade in six months.

HP does in fact not use proprietary hardware (apart from the PSU). Dell however does. You can plop this entire system in a normal ATX case. Edit: They do use 'normal' PSU. Its a lot smaller but the case that this PC comes in does support full ATX PSU's. Edit 2: This applies to HP omen, not HP victus.

One thing I wish became more mainstream, not just limited to servers, is the ability many of them have (particularly rack-mounted ones) to attach an additional power connector to the motherboard next to the PCIE/PCI-X controller, enabling a secondary power controller that bumps the wattage per PCIE slot up to 150w, rather than 75w. I can absolutely see this as a win for minimalist-design cases, as you'd have no GPU cables to hide anymore. (The main point of these being that rack mount/blade servers don't have room for the cables, typically.)

I got buy at 2022, come with i5 12400F, GTX1650, i notice no strong enough to play game, i change to RTX3060, and GPU Z show running at PCIe 4 x16, so look like only MVNE slot is gen 3. The problem with the PSU is 500w, if i set too high graphic, PSU fan will run at 3500rpm, i need tune down graphic setting else fan sound too loud.

Most of theses OEM prebuilt systems only provide low power (4-pin) to CPU therefore CPU already under performs. The thermals are also crazy with these systems so if you planing on playing fortnite or COD you will very quickly notice the system does not offer enough cooling for the specs regardless if this is ryzen or intel. the best OEM prebuilt option I recommend is Lenovo Legion 5 because you have options to customize the cooling. and system provides full power to CPU.

The OS practically always offloads some data from VRAM to sys RAM for optimization purposes, but if you fill the dedicated VRAM up completely you'll still get lag spikes etc.

Only case where you couldn't remove your CPU in a PC is if it's a laptop and it is soldered to the motherboard... Other than that yes u can swap CPU's to another motherboard so as long as the motherboard and cpu both have the same socket type and if it's an Intel board then intel CPU, and if it's AMD, then AMD cpu, not very complicated really. Now as far as Overclocking the CPU goes, it is not "locked" you can overclock this CPU no problem, just be sure you have proper cooling. :P Cheers and happy belated 4th!! 🎊🎆

i am thinking of buying one of those but with a i5-14400f, BUT because my room is hot like 30C* i am scared of it overheating. And i cant replace the cooler because it removes the warranty. BTW 30* only in summer

I have a HP Victus since some years. It was cheap and still perfect for gaming and it also can run Star Citizen quite good.

Man, it sucks but I think they were sold out for days now. Crazy because I usually check eBay and haven’t for about a week now. Guess I’ll just keep saving for a ryzen build w an AM5 socket motherboard for an upgrade path in the future.

The only negative I see with these is not much of an upgrade path but for someone that just wants to game and will use that PC till it basically won’t run titles they want to play it’s a steal. I hate those proprietary motherboards but dollar for dollar a solid buy.

i didnt get a chance to see how many but for a 4060 and 12 gb ram ryzen 5, i would have atleast 5 fans if not 6 and maybe add like another 4 gb of ram. overall for a $399 computer that is a 10/10
