In this video I have shared my review on the suspension of yamaha aerox 155. Yamaha aerox comes with 26 mm in front and rear. In Aerox we find dual rear suspension which is unique to this scooter.
I have ridden this scooter for 3 weeks now and I have some thoughts on the rear shocks. Yamaha is having an alternative for the suspension as KYB ultimate which comes with a price of 17000 Rs.
This vehicle has a long waiting period in mumbai and other parts of India. In this playlist I have added the waiting period details and also pricing.

This video definitely needs a follow up. My Aerox rear suspension is unbearablly stiff and uncomfortable on rough roads (opposite on smooth roads) I came across information on team bhp about Yamaha India testing more bearable suspensions on Indian roads. Its the same suspension seen on the Thailand variant.

You are absolutely correct they fitted dual suspension of ray zr ..

My rear shock set up: Go for Bajaj Platina rear shock with little modes at bottom mounting eye and use upper bolt sleeve from stock shocks. If you want more smooth ride, you can remove the S.O.S (inner spring coil) which is perfect for solo rides. Forgot the exorbitant priced KYB and throw the stock shocks as far as you can.

I ride from Trichur to Calicut, solo ride. On the rough roads, rear suspension is hard to absorb, thinking of opting for a aftermarket parts as the KYB set offered by Blue Square dealer is bit more than they are asking. There's a "Spring-set" with 40 sq.pount per inch available in Malaysian market, looks a viable option to me. I'm also trying two other mods, "Bajaj Platina" rear shocks, which requires bottom eyes needs to change to U clamp and second mod is to mount FZ's rear Tyre hugger on Aerox.

High speed stability is based on Frame. Centre of mass. Suspension, Tyre only provide gain in the stability. Install Wide tyres in splendor and good suspension, you will still not get confidence at high speed.

Thanks sir for ur help .Sorry for asking lot of question. I wanted to ask first of all this would be my first and only vehicle for the time so shall i go for this or bike. And second does it really give avg of 45 if used 20 km everyday at speed 50 to 60.

Yea average of this vehicle is 40 to 45. If you keep it under 70.

TVS dealers are not selling parts outside, you'll have to get it from a third-party seller. I'm using gas charged Jupiter shock for Suzuki Access.

Kiran, such a good review of Aerox's suspension. If you go through the user reviews of Aerox, the one prominent issue that all the users pointed out is about its stiff suspension. Yamaha has made it in such a way to enhance the performance of the machine, that's good in that aspect. But in day to day life situations - especially in our road conditions, this stiffness will give its rider a lot of issues. Okay, if the roads are good, this will ride like breeze, but on bad roads, there's no comfort. And, about the KYB shockers, are you sure they are indented for improving the ride comfort? I thought they are there for performance.

Yes I have enquired about those. They can be tuned to our comfort level so it will be a good option to consider if you have issue with the present suspension.

@@KiranSankarIyer , that's good. Even then, instead of spilling 17K on them, are there any alternatives? Will the rear suspension setup of any other commuter bikes suit Aerox? Usually, they are cheaper and made for comfort. Or even, we can have some good quality used spares.

@@KiranSankarIyer There is no adjustment in the KYB shock other than Pre Load. It is purely meant for performance not for comfort. I am using it since the first service.

No issues I have faced till now. Have ridden in different terrains . In my native roads are bad and lot of tall speed breakers. Underbody has never hit the road.
