I honestly thought the gamechasers was gonna blow up the way james did. just seemed natural to me. at the time, nobody else was doing game finds in this style. and I think this WOULD HAVE happened, but the retro gaming market got too expensive before that could happen imo. such a shame.

Excellent video. I like hearing the nostalgic stories, even when I’ve heard them before. I mean, a lot of us rewatch the Game Chaser episodes over and over. I think there’s an audience for it. I actually get nostalgic watching the older episodes. It wild, we are really getting old.

I collect since 97-98. I remember the early 2000. Golden era of Collecting. 8 and 16-bit dirt cheap! Sold half of the Collection in 2017. Now i only have what i realy love!

It brings me great happiness and comfort that the Top 5 Friday jingle is the same as it has ever been, and hopefully always will be. It can be sobering to realise that your modern days of game collecting have now taken up more years of your life than playing games as a kid, but that's just proof it's a hobby you find worthwhile and enjoyable. It's important to have something like that in your life, and I'm glad you all still get some joy from it -- even if the way in which you enjoy it might have changed a bit over the years.

I also have a factory-sealed copy of Super Star Wars, it was one of the first games I played on the SNES, and probably got me started on focusing on Star Wars games through N64 and Game Cube after. A friend sent it to me so it will always be a very special game for me.

I always wanted Gremlins 2 since I was 9 when it dropped before Christmas and that’s all I wanted for that Christmas. I was devastated that it wasn’t under the tree. Here I am 42 and have yet to play it.😢

I think the Sealed Super Star Wars Games are the Reprints that came around the time the Star wars Special edition came to the Cinema in 97! At least here in Europe they brought new stock in to the Stores. They have a different Cover Design.

As far as i know the original Release were distributed by JVC (Golden lines around the Cover Art) and the Reprints were distributed from Nintendo themselve. (No Lines) I don't know how its in the US though. ;) Super Empire and Super Return didn't get a rerelease here in Europe! So they are mutch more uncommon!

Love these guys. Both of the Game Chasers always make me laugh. The Game Chaser series is by far my favorite, Toy Chasers is a close second. I would love for these guys play Retro games, whether in tournament fashion (when applicable) or the ‘pass the sticks’ format for games that are single or two-player. Pass the sticks rules being “if you die, you pass the controller to someone who has not had a turn yet” a rotation is usually best with 4 or more people. Maybe go back and beat some of those “hard to conquer” NES or SNES games with a small group, or take fan suggestions for games they want to see you guys play… by all means this is just a suggestion but with your guys collections I am sure it won’t be hard to find a game to play. Keep on Chasing and thanks for your videos guys!

I bought the entire Super Star Wars trilogy sealed as well, sometime in 2000 or 2001. I asked the store owner about it and he stated he bought them in bulk years ago and was still trying to get through them, they must of overproduced the hell out of those carts. I thought it might of been an isolated incident but it's cool to find out that this was the case in different parts of the country.

I have the same connection with Bart vs. the Space Mutants. I def have a love/hate relationship with it. I still have my copy from when I was a kid (CiB). It's not a great game but it's given me plenty of hours of entertainment...it's also the only Simpsons game I own.
