Generally it devolves into a three-way cold war between the three experienced players of my group, with the filthy casuals as either our vassals or federation members, for the pathetic xenophiles. No way a Galactic Imperium forms until the stalemate gets broken.

That galaxy wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the chandelier, that's for sure! XD They just made my task of assimilating all sentient life in the galaxy that much easier once I turned into the Galactic Imperium.

Honestly we had some pretty broken mods like acot which made our fleet sizes dummy big. If the AI were smarter they would have also had bigger fleets. I think in this specific game I had like 12-20 million at this point. My friend was sadly doing very poorly in comparison.

I always liked the prequels, and I say that as someone who grew up with the originals. The dialogue was meh, but they did _much_ more for world building than the OT. I think a lot of people wanted OT, but set in the past. So the politics and such was off-putting, but I always said, war is an extension of politics, plus how else would you explain Palpatine's rise to power? The Jar-Jar hate was kind of justified (character should have been a disgraced exiled warrior with maybe a couple minor comic-relief scenes, instead of a complete idiot that was exclusively badly done comic relief), and I think Ep1 Anakin should have been like maybe 13ish in age. Would have made his Padme obsession less creepy plus being a teen would be a far better age range to be all angsty and arrogant. Then again, one of my favorite scenes in the OT was the Death Star conference since it's one of the few world-building scenes.

So.. i had a wierd interaction in becomming emporer as driven assimilators and uhh.. lets just say that something happended and i lost all my casus belli for some reason and i couldnt even proclaim assimilation over my neighbour so i was stuck as a forced pacifist xD i mean i were all powerful but i could no longer take any territory anymore because driven assimilators cant claim territory aside from the casus belli of assimilation wich you somehow lose as emporer. But i could declare them a galactic crisis so we could all attack them i guess.

I find it very disappointing when you can’t fight any wars for territory as galactic emperor. The only way to do so is through secret fealties or by encouraging rebellion in another empire. In fact you can still fight secret fealty wars even if you have passed pax galactica as emperor. That was how I was able to take out the strongest empire in the galaxy, the Habinite Unified Worlds, who were staunchly democratic and pacifistic and opposed to my Jingoistic authoritarianism. They were stronger than me in diplo weight even when I was emperor, but all it took was fighting a secret fealty war against them to steal their worlds and guarantee me the W.

Shame that being emperor just means you get involved with every minor affair impacting anyone in the imperium, with no actual control over anyone once you become the emperor. It's like you became supreme ruler, but still left in democracy. Utterly destroyed me the first game I played as Emperor. I decided to intervene as an awakened empire was attacking one of the members of the imperium. I thought that by declaring intervention, it would bring the entire empire to war against the awakened empire. Turns out, all it does, is drag you into a war with them and their endless fleets. I cannot describe the disappointment that I couldn't really do anything being an emperor, and it ended my federation. Kinda lame.

That only happens when you becone an emperor too early, by proclaiming the imperium you essentially dismantle all federation allowing you to tributize the entire galaxy, and then you can swap them into vassal and integrate them to slowly unify the entire galaxy

I just feel if you have an imperium, if someone in the imperium is attacked, you should be able to call a large scale response to an outside threat. I mean, if your ally was attacked, you would come to their aid. Instead the closest thing you can do is just say "no fighting."

Right about now doing away with custodian term limits, used the Unbidden to get that position in the first place, used them through espionage to invade a Rival border empire, now using that gap they made to make inroads into the L-cluster.
