Cast zinc handles, no way to adjust blade play, absolute trash grinds on the blade. Not a knife you'd want to get.
@bluestscrew7833
@bluestscrew7833 3 жыл бұрын
@@PenjaminFranklinn Dude, it's less than $40 with shipping, what do you expect? Also these knives are pretty tough, people treat the knives like trash and then they end up breaking. Give some care and thought it may last up to a year or more surprisingly. And to note some Bear & Sons knives (particularly Bear OPS in this case), are amazing, like the B-800.
@PenjaminFranklinn
@PenjaminFranklinn 3 жыл бұрын
@@bluestscrew7833 actually my friend has a bear ops b400, that thing is kind of a tank and it flips pretty dang well too. its still worth investing in a more expensive balisong imo for flipping and durability. i had a squid trainer a bit ago and for $150 it would not break, and i beat it.

@@grimssouls3897 They're really the only durable balisong in the 100 dollar market. I just would like them to use a better base steel like 440c, 154cm or 14c28n instead of their mystery 440(440a). Or learn to thin out their 1095 blades. I own two and they're reasonably good flippers, but poor knives for cutting and slicing.

I am planning on buying a Benchmade model 62 and i want to flip latchless but i dont have much experience with the balisong hardware (specifically Benchmades). So does any 1 really know? I think they are press fit correct? anyways would i need to remove whole bite handle to get the latch? or is there a specific/easier way i could remove it? The shear quantity of the pieces being produced and the way they were thrown around, just make the knives look/seem meaningless to me. I think it's sometimes best for the customers to NOT know how "the sausage is made." So much automation and so little effort putting these knives together. Really hard to see how a owner would feel like they're getting something special after watching the video. I'm not a fan of balisongs, so what the hell do I know... lol
@eachday9538
@eachday9538 7 жыл бұрын
I kind of had the opposite reaction. With the way automation is heading I thought it was endearing how much humans were involved in the process, especially given that the factory is located in a first world country. Also, I think there is a certain appeal to mass produced objects of thoughtful economical design and a fair price. Not saying that is necessarily the case in this example, but in general.
