Man, that is SO PERFECT. I love everything about it. All it's missing is the full chisel grind. However, what really makes it is the geometry. The way the scales are ground to bevel with the blade geometry and flow into the handle couldn't be achieved with a chisel grind. You'd have one unsymmetrical side, so while it's not a true kiradashi, it's piece of art I'd love to have in my collection. 😍

Absolutely beautiful. That is the work of a master. However, when he was pushing the wood through the band saw without a pusher stick, I had to cringe. On the first day of shop class in 8th grade, the shop teacher started by demonstrating a table saw. He was telling us about the possible dangers of using the saw, and to never push the wood through without a pusher stick. Then he proceeded to demonstrate why a pusher stick is so important. One the first cut he made ( no pusher stick), he cut his thumb right down the center to his joint. Messy as hell. And needless to say, shop class was cancelled. And he gave a great performance on why pusher sticks are so important. Never push wood through any type of cutting machine without a pusher stick.
