When my girlfriend got into the habit of using a fountain pen I inherited (borrowed/stole) her bullet space pen. I LOVE IT. Hers is chrome and I realized MANY years later Fisher makes other kinds of bullet pens so I purchased a raw brass one directly from them. I like this one even better than the chrome (which is truly awesome and has been for over two decades). I felt bad about absconding with her pen and offered her little chrome beauty back to her and she TOOK MY BRASS ONE instead. It made me so happy she liked it I purchased another. Now I use the chrome bullet one in my tool box and my brass one for every day. Too bad they make dozens of models ... I might become a pen collector and I do not need more hobbies. Cheers.

So I rescued an ag7 from the 90s (at least the refill was from 92). The body seems so much more elegant than the current model with the IMO garish engraving on clip (just don’t like overt branding, sorry. The understated engraving around the pen is in my eyes just so much more elegant compared to the clip). Also the body has vertical lines as decorative elements along its body rather than being just smooth. I am so happy I got this ag7, it has become my daily trusty companion. Oh and yes, the black refill still functioned but was on its last legs. I also have a Futura whose blue refill is from 85 which still works flawlessly (and the brighter shade of blue it has is very pleasant, too) All in all Fisher Space Pens have become some of my most liked, used, and recommended pens.

I carry one of these at work. I am a Line Service Technician at an airport. It has never let me down. I love that my pen represents a piece of history and I’m happy to tell people about it. I carry the Clutch because I wanted something easy to write with while wearing gloves during aircraft fueling or deicing and I also wanted something robust enough to deal with wet and cold/hot conditions.

@@fisherspacepenco.7622 You’re most welcome, thank you for making such an awesome product I can take serious pride in and use every day. The one I use most has a vintage cartridge in it from 1972. It’s a CH4 identical to the big pen The two men are sitting on in the 1966 fisher space pen debut newspaper article. If you could please tell me what year that particular pen was made I would love to know.

I just have to test the pen underwater and in zero gravity; it has passed all other tests! This is weirdly crazily well made. I feel proud for purchasing it while I was 20 years younger...I want to have other models, but I've been waiting for mine to stop working and it seems it won't happen... I didn't like it at first for fast writing while I was in college because it felt heavy and made more noise than my G2 Pilot pens. After I started working, this was my best and most durable pen; I dropped, used it to write in crazy angles, and used in freezers and temperatures above 110 F degrees. While my workmates' pens suffered and stopped working, mine just kept going. I have the AG7 Space Pen; my director has the black bullet and he does not care about any other pens lol

I had my novel published 5 years ago, and I wanted a good pen 🖊 a pen a writer would carry around. The options are limitless. However I settled on the AG-7... best pen I have ever owned, people still ask me about it wherever I go. I recently decided that I want an “every day” pen, not to replace my AG-7, but one I can just throw in a bag 💼 or suitcase. I settled on the click-o-matic all metal in matte black... I’m completely sold on Fisher pens, they are the only pens I use now - nothing else compares in feel, quality and reliability. I’m definitely going to be ordering more pens.

I have doubt actually: Does making the refills out of metal like you do and Parker does, does it help in any way? Does it help the environment or is it environment or is counter-productive? Or does it make no difference at all? Does it make the refill reusable and fisher somehow gets hold of the refills and uses it again? Also, since the cartridge is pressurized, should it mean that under normal circumstances i would need less pressure to write in comparison to other ball point pens? Should it be much smoother in comparison to other ball points?

It is a great pen. Just do not drop it while the tip is out. I had mine dropped to the floor while the tip was out and it hit the floor with the tip head on . The mechanism stopped working and the mechanism was not functional after that. I contacted the customer service about it and they were like "that's too bad, you can buy another one if you want a one to work". Well I have the same pen 3 years later but i close the action by pressing the button and slamming the tip to the paper.

Wanted to pick up either a AG7 or a CH4 (or both), but guessing inflation since 2019 has hit these as well....$90 for a CH4 or around $120 for a AG7 is a bit too rich for my blood. Apparently these were about half that price or less a few years ago.
