Pork and meat products made in a United States factory sometime in the 1950's. A feature of the U.S. pig and hog industry has been the rapid shift to fewer and larger operations, associated with the advent of electricity, and technological change created an ever evolving structure.

I live by a slaughterhouse for cattle, I used to work there. My job was to literally manhandle slabs of meat, weighing in at about 50 pounds each, and hook them up to a conveyer. That's what I did all day for a good 3 months. It wasn't the highest paying job I ever had, but it was the best job I ever had. I spent $200 buying meat for that year in one day. A single purchase and I was staked with delicious meat. I had so much meat I had to buy a bigger freezer. I eventually grew tired of the taste and gave most of it away. Now I'm on a diet lol. My point is, slaughterhouse's aren't so bad. Working there was a great experience. It helped me better understand where my food was coming from. Unlike most jobs, this one required you to be physically and mentally strong. Killing another living thing is not easy.

Yes . Thank you for that information . Now you over there may interest me , and l may interest you . No animal life or human life lives very long . Some are killed , some die naturally in old aged process . My particular interest in the problem of actually dying , PLEASANTLY ? is what l now write about here . On Australian TV , I saw a killing cattle process , as used in Texas . I was happy to see that it was MUCH better than simple rudimentary killing techniques . As used by billions of humans against animals ? So , l set about to design a simple , but better , and cheap , machine that could be used by billions of people , NOT killing animals , in and Via an expensive Abattoire & meat processing Factory . And believe that l have some good ideas seen in my designs of those simple machines . Now who to talk to about it ? Without the usual problems often associated with new inventions AND their Developement . Australia is a manufacturing Country , but so are most other nations also . And simple things are often best done in simple ways & cheaply of course . Many a project has died because of bad management AND Costs . So what ? So , the U . S . A . is on the List for it , but may not be the best choice to start with or continue with . You may have some ideas about animal processing and meat consumption . I personally think that hugely greater food production is possible in all categories AND ESPECIALLY in the production of food Substitution . Such as non meat foods for Vegetarians AND particularly in alternatives for things such as Milk . Anyway . Many starts have been made in those things mentioned , including my ideas for a better technique and machine . You , no doubt have ideas also . Thanks . Your response is welcome here in West Australia , Perth . Adios , for now .

Billion humans plus vegans don't eat pork we don't even use any product with prork like gelatin and medicine and other things 😊 but we don't eat pork not only for religious reasons but for scientific reasons to some pork or pigs have a Bactria that can kill in some cases but there's more facts

@ReallyWemja 9 жыл бұрын
+ipadgirl72 Well cows and sheep can contain prions and may cause what's known as "mad cow disease". Chicken can give salmonella among other things. Your scientific reason is pretty invalid (in the modern era) but I support your culture and understand that you do not eat pork.
@ReallyWemja
@ReallyWemja 9 жыл бұрын
ipadgirl72 Prions are not bacteria, they can only be killed at temperatures that are so high it will make the meat inedible. There is no cure. Once you are infected with it you will die a slow and painful dead, slowly losing your memory while the prions destroy your brain. The parasites you can get from pigs are killed when the meat is properly cooked and even if you get infected it can be cured in less then a week with a couple pills. Doing stuff for religious reasons is fine with me as long as you realize that it is just that. With modern medicine there is no medical reason not to eat pork. That said I am not attacking your religion, no one gets hurt by what you eat so its your own choice.

I used to work at a meat market. Those knives were professionally sharpened every week. And the butchers were continually using sharpening steels to keep the edge on. I can testify to how sharp those knives were, since i had to wash them. If you weren't very careful, you'd cut yourself, and not notice till you put your hands back in the soapy water. Most cuts i got back then didn't even bleed, they were that clean. And don't get me started on the meat slicer. That thing would cut air.

As my teeth sank in I thought of how much fat this carcass must contain, how many diseases I'm more likely to have just by devouring this deliciousness, it brought a tear to my eye. I was overwhelmed, It was bliss. To my dismay I was caught in the act. I can still vividly remember the awkward moment when I looked up to see three men with their jaws dropped as my jaws were firmly latched onto a young chap's arm. I still strive for another day like this, for now at least, I will have to settle for the usual carcasses.

@chrischoy9, why would Homo sapiens (human animals) like me be used for animal testing you dork? I'm not a good candidate anyways for that because I'm way too healthy ( never been sick of anything other than once a year some light flu) I'm the exception in this world where homo sapiens are literally being consumed by the disease their food and lifestyle choices cause them, and those are the human animals you should be using! Not the vegan ones who harm no one ( human or nonhuman) You have almost 8 billion Homo sapiens to choose from, and it's estimated that a good percentage of those are criminals so test on those! Why in a healthy mind would the nonhuman animals ( and human animals like myself) pay for the lifestyle and food choices of the Homo sapiens species? Why should we pay for their self-induced diseases ? Nope, we won't. And I just hope that more and more Homo sapiens be consumed by cancer because I will tell you something that's pretty darn scientific: the human animal species is like a virus to this planet, like a cancer that will self-eradicate as the cancer that it is. That's why you now see an annual increase of cancer in the Homo sapiens massive population ( the number increases every year by some crazy percentage like 5%) And please don't compare nonhuman animals to plants. I can see you never took a biology or a science class not even in high school, other wise you would know that all mammals (human and nonhuman animals have a central nervous system that allows us to be who we're and to be able to feel pain, suffering, joy, happiness, to be able to defecate, reproduce, eat, fight for our lives, protect our offspring etc etc etc the list goes on and on) but the problem with Americans is that they're very ignorant (with the exception of an exceptional few) now if you have a brain it is to question "your professors" you moron, not to just swallow like a pill everything they give you you classic dumb American! Now get a read: www.caareusa.org/historic_eu_hearing_considers_end_to_animal_research ( and of course it had to happen in Europe!)

These videos from the fifties just open my eyes even more to how far along technology has evolved. Scary really. I remember visiting the packing house only a few miles from where I lived when I was a child. My father thought it was important to teach me about where meat came from. Pretty soon kids will need to visit a much different type of “meat factory”. I still feed beef cows everyday but soon such things may become relegated to the past.
