When I saw this video, I thought it was just going to be some person ranting about how minecraft has changed and not the same anymore. But this, this reminded me of my first time playing, I was clueless and was finding new thing all the time. It reminded me that minecraft is a sandbox with infinite possibilities, now it's all about what you can achieve or what you have but this video reminded me of the times when it did not matter what you had, what mattered was how much fun you had. For real, man. Even now, I'm still discovering things about the base game that've apparently been around for years... For example, just the other day I learned that, if you have a lantern hanging from a chain, and then break that chain, the lantern turns into a falling entity and smashes on the floor below, starting a fire. Weird, but possibly useful in certain circumstances.

I've been spending the past couple of months creating my own survival+ mod pack, creating multiple test servers that my friends would play on and I'd see how long it'd be before complaints started rolling in. I'm coming so close to completing my goal of making the perfect mod pack that offers so much with so few mods, just so i can feel everything your server/smp has to offer while taking a step beyond just vanilla minecraft. I began straying away from this goal, getting lost within the millions of mods the community has created. I want to thank you for reminding me of my initial goal, a world that's worth exploring, without the need for crazy additions, insanely powerful mobs and mechanics that just dont belong in minecraft.

My most vivid memory was when Minecraft was starting out at the base of a massive cliff. I scaled the mountain as night fell, and created a furnace by complete accident. That was actually the best server ad that I've seen. I remember there was a server I used to frequent called Green Gem, and it had this feel to it (Green Gem, the old Green Gem at least, doesn't exist anymore) and man, you're right, that is the peak Minecraft experience.

I've always wanted a community server like that, but it's so hard to find or build the exact kind that I'd be interested in. This was really moving. I am really missing this experience. Like, I never really got it, I didn't have many friends, let alone friends to play games I enjoyed with. I'm trying hard to find community now that I'm a little older and sorta mature. I started playing minecraft this week again. I have little kicks where I play it lots, then a year goes by and I do it again. in 2021 I had my own server, but nobody played on it anymore. This week I started playing single player with the distant horizons mod, and seeing the big, beautiful open world I felt so excited to explore and live in... I felt a deep sadness. Its empty, I have no one to share it with, and that's always been what I love most about minecraft. Having great experiences that I would possibly share with others. I yearn for friendship.

From what I could see in the modpack it has Rethinking Voxels, Complementary Shaders - Reimagined and BSL Shaders. My guess would be they added them so you can use whichever you prefer.

I used to play on so many random survival survers. Some where griefing was encouraged and the fun was to hide your base, and others where everybody wanted to be close. This brought such nostalgia back and i honestly havr always craved coming back to my minceraft roots like you have done. I’m just gonna put a reminder for myself and maybe someone needs to hear this too: No matter what happens to you or this game, I beg you (myself and all others) to never forget what this game meant. Whether you’re now a PvP player, or Builder, or Redstoner, etc, in the beginning we were all kids being in awe of the vastness and possibilities this game offers and we should never forget that we are still allowed to be that kid even now. In its nature this game is a sandbox so nobody can ruin it but yourself, don’t lose your childhood innocence and wonder and get stuck to the optimization side of this game.

May that be aloneor a random modpack I’ve made with a friend or two I still love this game. Sadly over time as I’ve grown up less and less people stick around and are willing to play. I to want just a small community to stick around and play with but in modern times people don’t play it like I still do. I can still look back on my first core memories of the game. it's a shame I missed out on the window to get into this. I've never seen an SMP as exactly like what I /want/ out of minecraft as this, short of my ever-unending love for the Betweenlands. If the opportunity arises in the future, I would love to be a part of this. Minecraft is one of the most important parts of my life, despite how little I play it now. I feel like it's about time I did it some justice with something like this. Your video is captivating and beautifully scripted for being so simple. I remember a time where the world was finite. where all my creativity was constrained to a small non infinite world. the seed was the legendary hhh. I remeber building my first survival house. I remember building with tight cramp 1x2 spaces . I remember hunkering down cause as a Kid I was scared of mobs. I remember my first time charging out that door. I remember my first iron, the diamond. I remember copying Stampy's builds cause it was popular at the time. I remember the first endless expanse of a world I went in after infinite generation became a Thing. I remember finally becoming good at the game. I remember finally being good at building. I remember finally being able to play minecraft in PC. All those and now here I stand, Building my new worlds and exploring the new endless expanses granted to me by this beautiful game. Thanks for allowing me to remember.

I used to scour technic for modpacks that had servers attached, and the experiences I had on those middling quality servers are some of my favorite. Its hard to find stuff thats similar nowadays, but now I have a good group of friends with enough collective knowledge and resources to make and play our own packs. I miss those old days, but I like new ones just as much.

I dreamed of such experiences since I was a kid, never had a good PC, never could play with mods with my friends, and I still can't, but I learned how to play and have fun in singleplayer worlds, with aternos and some plugins, and a few friends. I had memorable moments, and I'm still having them.

Recently I decided to start a modded Minecraft gameplay on survival. Playing on the World I feel like am discovering Minecraft again. I wonder at every new flower, tree, mob as I explore the completely new or revamped biomes while I search for materials for my colony. It is truly an amazing feeling. It just adds curiosity to the Minecraft world.
