I might go as far as to say, they do seem to care but in their own messed up ways, in which as long as they see Jack as successful and making money, they believe he is fine and succeeding in life, in reality, they are neglecting him, this is very common in parents nowadays who fail to develop a proper connection and bond with their children, instead imposing social expectations of how their children "should be", believing to know "what's best for them" while failing to actually understand him as a person and value him for who he is beyond his achievements, this creates a conditioning in which Jack feels that he will only be accepted and cared for if he is achieving, successful, brings money or fulfills their expectations, this is behind why he is the person he is and why he only cares about the money, deep down it feels like Jack is subconsciously aware of this, but he tries to escape it through chasing even more and more of success and money, he is likely also afraid of losing everything as he feels like he will be left uncared for and with nothing and no one on his side, this irrational idea of his is further amplified by people sticking around him only for money, he identifies his success with who he is as a person, all of this combined explains his very deep desperation and neglect of everything else since the desperation completely consumed him, unknown to him this only furthers the irrational ideas his parents conditioned him to believe in and leads to self-destructive behaviors Oh damn I just accidentally wrote a whole psychoanalysis of his character 💀💀💀

Very well said my friend. I do think Jack is obviously to blame for how he is, but it isn’t exactly fair to pin ALL the blame on him, just most of it. Maybe if his parents didn’t influence him the way he did, and maybe were better at raising him, but it’s clear they’re just as delusional as Jack is. Especially since his own father outright sides with Jack with the whole hydroplaning incident that was clearly Hacks fault. Overall, there’s no doubt Jack is a terrible person, but at the same time, I do somewhat feel bad for how this guy became such a parasite because his own parents didn’t even do their job raising this kid. I’m 2 years older than him, and I’m a better person than he is.

I want to say I did not watch Jack but I want to say that when I had the dogs, technically, I think people are kind of wrong to judge him for that one because unless there’s more to that clip, he didn’t start that fight.
