@@yeahhdatsm the first time he was asked to take a pay cut to get under the cap. He refused. Went to Cincinnati for less then came back to the Steelers for less than what they originally offered. The second time he asked to be released. It was time because he was ineffective in the SB with NE.

That game against the ravens in 07 was the most impressive display by any player in the history of the NFL. I encourage anyone to go watch it and tell me otherwise. He was in on almost every play. It was unreal.

I remember being at the Bills Steelers game in '04 at the end of the season. Steelers already had their playoff spot secured so they played their backups. Harrison returns a fumble for a touchdown and had a hell of a game. I remember thinking to myself, why isn't he a starter?

I remember when he was signed back in 02 and you could see the scary talent this dude had but his attitude and giving up just didn't do anything for Cowher. I hated when Baltimore picked him up. They would have had one of the scariest LB'ing Corps....ever. Thank god it didn't last.

I remember watching that game live.. still one of the best games, probably only topped by the superbowl wins. Harrison's 99 yard interception return in the superbowl was amazing and underrated as a top play in superbowl history.

He was perfect for the Steelers and the way they played. He fit that organization so well. He was great at forcing fumbles and now TJ Watt is the next great LB for the Steelers

I watched that Ravens game and remember it like it was yesterday! (mainly cause Ed reed got destroyed twice: once by James and another by Hines) but also because it was James’ coming out party. Like he literally played like a man possessed that night. That’s the type of stuff you can talk to your children and children’s children about when you get old talking to them about football legends of your time

There have been a lot of football players I enjoyed watching but like when MJ left basketball, When the big man here James Harrison left football I basically lost interest! THANK YOU James you made the game fun to watch and you might have been cut 4 times but I cheered for you every time you played and I would like to think I am one of your biggest fans!
