If you truly enjoy employing the use of a knife in the kitchen, there is nothing that compares to high end, hand made japanese cutlery. nothing.

these knives aren't bad at all, but they aren't top quality either. The blades are somewhat crudely forged, the rest is ground, but at least the heat treat looked solid (except for the "anneal" that was really messy)

In Japan they forge Things differently, I personally make knifes for fun and understand that the way they make knifes doesn't follow to western standards. But what they do seems to work, lots of the technics seem to stem from swords makers and tradition.
