These partially boring/tedious, logistical purchases when someone makes it big are actually more inspiring than the stories of wild flexing... like, sure he gets some cars and jewelry, but still the first thing he mentions is covering existing debts; he buys his mom a house; He has to be encouraged by his financial advisor to go get his luxury dream car. This is clearly a grounded guy who never forgets what it's like to have nothing... and spends accordingly. Someone who really appreciates achieving his dreams.

No, if he was a rookie who only had a contract of 3.75 you should be upset! 3.75 turns into 1.5 mil after taxes and fees. Imagine if he spent 2/3 of his 1.5 before securing his second contract? Luckily he has made over 50 mil so he should be financially secure with good investing.

@@TheCoolBea-n In the USA federal tax above 500k is 37 percent on top of the state tax which varies by state. In the NFL they pay taxes depending on where the game is being played. Some states charge 0% (like Florida) while in other states it is up to 13% (California). They also have an agent which in the NFL can be up to 3%. So in general most NFL players pay between 45-55 percent of their checks to taxes/fees
