I am not a FanBoi of Jon...but I will say this: The dude abides. He was the guy who emptied ash trays and cleaned the studio back in 1982 at Power Station studios...he recorded "Runaway" after John Waite finished "Missing You"...later that night on stolen time when no one was around.....using John's session guitarist to make the track ROCK (Tim Pierce has magic!)...and my point is...ALL that Jon has he has EARNED. He has walked the miles and done that voice for 40 years and its a difficult delivery....almost torture on a voice. and for him to be honest and say he got hurt. Well, it just tells you the character of the Man. Whatever happens next: He is Jon Bon Jovi and that is a towering achievement and it all comes from his character as a Man. We are lucky to have had him in our lives. Thank you,Jon.

Less courage than it did to stop taking people's money.

Yes it took a lot of courage but some people who paid full price for the gigs were he was really bad were still supporting him. The videos online might seem cruel at times with some of the comments but a lot of people paid big money to see him. I’m surprised he has seen some of the gigs and continued to be honest. I loved his music back in the day. I’m not doing this to hurt anyone. Just speak the truth of many fans who left shows feeling robbed.

True and this is better than what Madonna (who is another of my favorite artists ) is doing. Prefer to see that he is ageing gracefully and looking healthy and great in a realistic way than surgeries gone wrong Besides it took him a very long time to loose his baby face and stayed kind of ageless from the 80s till maybe 2007. In 2008 he still looked good but more in a Pierce Brosnan kind of way till 2013. He maintained his sex symbol stayed till what about now.

Jon, you have truly been Superman to your fans for 40 years. Your voice and your performances have been incredible. But one day, when you’re “just older,” life pulls you up short. Surgery and health issues are frightening. I’ve experienced in them in the later chapter in my life. Your bravery and perseverance is inspiring to me. Thank you for sharing your story, being yourself and for all the years of incredible music that have been so important to my life. Wishing continued health and happiness and to you. ❤️

He is only human. After performing +3000 shows over 40 years no one would expect him to be as good as he used to be. Even the guys bitching on the keyboards have gotten older. The good thing is to recognise it, to deal with it and to accept it. I know my band will never be what it used to be. But I love them no matter what and I will keep supporting them and being by their side, ‘cause that’s what you do with the ones you love. If the band isn’t good enough for someone else… I get it, I understand why, just turn the page and carry on with your life. Plenty of other artists and bands to listen to. That’s the honest and rational thing to do. #BonJoviForever

Time and time again ive seen comments criticising Jons vocals on stage,he was probably compensating because he knew in his heart something wasnt right, as a singer you instinctively know but once you admit it you either stop altogether or seek help which more than likely involves surgery which in turn involves the risk of damaging the voice altogether, scary stuff for a singer. His power is still there and hopefully he'll get back to being the great singer that he is

Yes, But have you listened to Bon Jovi 7800 Degree's Fahrenheit Slippery When wet IN ORDER I've been a fan since they started in 1983. I mean 2000, that's not even keep the Faith, that's like Crush and Bounce. to be a real Bon Jovi fan, You MUST have heard in order , the first 3 albums, but i think it's necessary to have heard them all at least up to Keep the Faith, Possibly These Days, But up to Faith is the originally Bon Jovi sound and feel . After Faith things started to change, i think some would argue that Faith was the changing album As for your comment, Even you're getting OLDER TAKE THIS FROM A 50 YEAR OLD , if you were 13 in 2000 you're now 37, YOU'RE STILL IN THE PRIME OF YOUR LIFE. You're not old yet don't even think that. Trust me, things do not start to happen (in terms of OLD) Until around 47 or 48, that's when things will happen like I need this operation or you wake up one day and out of nowhere your vision is really blurry, you can't focus EVER AGAIN , that's when you can start going on about you're old.

@@TheDreamerBJ that's good, GOOD ON YOU. and yes, there definitely was a clear change and transition I mean, when they started, and you have to understand it was a different world back then in a lot of respects. when they started, You could absolutely see they were in experienced, Just look at the video RUNAWAY or SHE DON'T KNOW ME Also understand, we didn't see these videos at the time, We had the record only. so Bon Jovi unlike other bands that came out of L.A. broke out into the Japanese market first, Hence why you have TOKYO ROAD , but by Fahrenheit, you could absolutely tell they were getting better now and by the time we got to slippery, they were at the peak and learned what they were doing etc etc so yes it does seem like there were clear incremental stages On slippery, Jon was the long haired heart throb for every girl out there on Faith, he was the short haired Heart throb that appealed to a different girl. I converted someone's video to audio and still listeng to that performance in my phones Thank you! Аnd I still remember how you had chats with us in 2000😇

He has nothing to prove. He's been at the top of the mountain and his legacy is cemented. Oh I almost forgot, he was one of the songwriters on "Wanted" one of the greatest rock anthems ever put to tape, so there's that too!🤘⚡

Younger years vocal cordes are not eternal Jon but your songs are and you can be proud of it. To many artists don't realize this and down pitching songs on their shows and its not always a good idea. You made it great all of these years and no one can take that away from you.

He knew it started to decline in 2013-2014, he even mentioned it at the rock n roll hall of Fame induction but it wasn't really bad until his last tour! Hopefully the vocal surgery gets him back to sounding good again! He sounded decent in his video for Legendary!

100% real and authentic amazing human with fears and insecurities just like the rest of us. No botox, no plastic surgery, no coloring of the hair. Jon aging right along with the rest of us without trying to look 25 again. More important things matter to him. Family, helping the community, music, being a hood human. He's always had his head on straight. Hope the surgery helped, but if not, and if you're up to it, we're still coming to hear you sing. We cant hit the high notes snymore either, do its all good. Love you Jon..... Always. Thanks for all you do to help people. ♥️♥️🤗🤗

We all knew that what we were hearing from Jon on stage was NOT the Jon we know and love. I am encouraged by his transparency with his surgery and how he is trying to correct the damage. It's not easy to come to terms with something like this and then speak openly about it. I'm happy he chose this way rather than try to make excuses for it. It will bring all of his fans right back to him when he's ready to start touring again. Congrats man!! I wish you all the best on this journey.

Saw them 36 times in between '85 & '96. Simply for five great records in a row and fantastic live shows. Fahrenheit to These Days was my childhood & youth up to my first born in '97 Seeing Jon feeling bad on stage, coz he couldn't deliver anymore PLUS reading the comments almost broke my heart. I don't know any singer that had a touring routine like Jon for a couple of decades. You could see him getting better and better or hear him beeing broke after another 20 month touring. 6 month later:new record, new monster tour. Maybe I don't like some of the albums after these days. So I don't listen to them. I don't have the need to talk about it. I'd rather go and listen to New Jersey from time to time. Same thing with his voice. It's broke. Not since just yesterday. That's okay. Their body of work will gladly stay when were all gone. That's all & that's a lot. Did you go to Muhammed Ali and went: Dude, look at you - you can't box anymore or do you think: Damn, thank you for decades beeing truly outstanding and working harder than anybody. I personally listen to other stuff for decades. But when Wanted or Prayer is coming on the radio...that's still magic. So thank you

I love singing but I was sick and couldn’t sing for almost 3 weeks and it is a bad feeling when you can’t express yourself like you would normally! Now imagine being a professional singer and you lose your voice 😢 I really hope for his recovery!
