I really love the idea that TWEWY Squad could make an epic return in future games. I loved a lot of their interactions in DDD, and it was also nice to see TWEWY characters in 3D with voice acting. I don't know about you, but I'll be hoping for it. ✌

Thank you for this. 1:23 - 1:54 Oh my god... did they foreshadow the method on how to "revive" Kairi in KH3 RE:MIND? What with linking up the pieces of her Heart thereby bring her out of nothing into reality! Even the connections of others was even used to trigger her revival during the Sora link to all scene after King Mickey fought off the Nort Replicas.

That very well could be foreshadowing, it does seem to make sense. However there is every chance it's also sheer coincidence - but maybe Melody of Memory might be able to shine a light on it further!

Joshua's description in Dream Drop Distance sounds a lot like Kairi's resurrection in Re:Mind. That kind of blows my mind. "By linking their dream pieces back together, maybe I could make them exist again. Maybe I could give them another chance."

And it is also an interesting point that in both "The World Ends With You" and "Kingdom Hearts", Joshua seems to embody a form of higher entity. The former which is explained, and the latter which is eluded to but never elaborated in detail. So when Joshua is talking about this message and theme of Kingdom Hearts so very eloquently, it may be from a higher vantage point. Hell, pretty sure the Master of Masters uses a medium of this as a component of Time Travelling.

Elevated Vibe. Beings in TWEWY, including Noise, Humans, Reapers, and Angels, all have a 'vibe'. Beings from higher planes can 'lower' their vibe voluntarily, to enter into lower vibe planes easily, where they become visible and tangible. This is why, in TWEWY, there are Reapers like 777 who can live a double life, jumping back and forth between the plane of the Underground, where dead humans' souls enter the Reaper's Game, into the living world of the Realground, and back, at relative leisure. Joshua is what is known as a 'Composer', which is a Reaper who has reached the capacity and power to ascend into Angel status. That status grants him the ability to interlope between different realities, with different versions of himself and other TWEWY characters--albeit, still within certain limits. Basically, he's a canon-jumping entity who can 'hide out' in alternate versions of the TWEWY reality--so a version of him in Dream Drop Distance may have comparable powers. Sound super broken? It is. But there are apparently other Angels, and an Angelic society, that can interfere with Joshua's interests. Additionally, Reapers who allege to be subservient to Joshua, like Sho Minamimoto, or Mitsuki Konishi, can plot to usurp his position, at the risk of opposition by other Reapers. It's a very cut-throat arrangement--a real art war between reapers with different visions for how the world should be.

@@GoldieTamamo Lol, yeah. That is the perfect explanation of Joshua and his role in TWEWY. Well... Mitsuki Konishi wanted to become Conductor, not Composer. Although, I imagine she'd still want to keep climbing from there. I am not sure Minamimoto cared much about the position of becoming Composer, so much as wanting to fight Joshua. And to think, in the end Joshua goes "lol, no" and just peace's out by dropping a car on top of Sho's head. I always thought that after Joshua changed his mind, he would have eventually made Neku his next Conductor, hell... Megumi Kitaniji has a lot of similarities to Neku including a somewhat close friendship with and affection for their Composer. And if you think about it, that entire Reaper Game was an irregularity, the Composer really need never get directly involved or risk themselves, it also makes little sense particularly in the Underground itself where the Composer is essentially all powerful and invincible. I wonder where NEO will take the story next, since we know Neku is in it too. Surprising lack of Composer so far, be it Joshua or not.

Despite being a complete outsider in the wager between Composer and Conductor, he stands to hinder the Composer greatly. It is entirely possible Minamimoto may rise to the office of Conductor before this wager has been decided." Sho Minamimoto's interest in the Composer's position is actually underlined by Sanae Hanekoma, in Secret Report 9, from which the above excerpt is from. Sanae Hanekoma is one of the reasons that the game in question was irregular. I strongly recommend you either read the secret reports or go back and play the game again to unlock them--much of what they reveal puts a completely different spin on what transpired during the events of TWEWY, and some of those points are too time-consuming to elucidate in comprehensive detail here. He's more or less the cause of things going weird, suffice to say--a rogue element. Neku chose to be reincarnated, because he made a promise to meet up with Shiki, Beat, and Rhyme, once the Game was over, and followed through on this promise--albeit maybe not, because of the plot of 'A New Day', which seems to deviate from the 'ideal timeline' Hanekoma described in the Secret Reports. NEO: The World Ends With You seems to be picking up from where 'A New Day' left off, judging by the involvement of the Shinjuku Reapers in the storyline. Judging by the dramatic difference in how the Reapers seem to be conducting the game in NEO, my guess is that the Shinjuku Reapers are in control of events, and Joshua and Hanekoma seem to have gone completely AWOL from the plot, for any number of reasons, not least of which being that original TWEWY Hanekoma is apparently a Fallen Angel playing some more complicated game than even Joshua is aware of, and is on the run from other Angels including other versions of himself (and damned if that's not a headfuck).

@@GoldieTamamo Lol, I don't have the game to read the Secret Reports, but I am kind of a nut for TWEWY for my own personal reasons. What I am getting from "New Day", is that Minamimoto was brought back to be Neku's new partner. Also, it seems to me that Coco is the rogue element or may have usurped Joshua's power. Since the term "Inversed" is used, I wonder if Minamimoto's desire to supplant Joshua may be inversed to working with Neku in helping Joshua, as Coco's tyranny makes any leadership from Joshua preferable. Lol, time will tell.

I learned something recently about Joshua: Spoilers As angel, When He raised his vibration , and become an angel fully again, it becomes easy for him to jump the boundaries in the multiverse. Which means it would be pretty easy for him to get to Unreality . Plus, there are multiple version of him, including Fallen versions (tainted by the Darkness).

@@yoshiyakiryu As there are only two Composer's in the series, we don't actually know that. All we know is that he leads the Reapers by proxy. Hanekoma is one of few confirmed angels. My post above was making the implication that Composer's are actually closer to gods than they are to angels. Given he has no other title besides Composer, and again, is never once referenced as being an Angel, I'll take my chances on that headcanon. Given you HAVE to be a winning player to zecome a Composer as well, that throws another wrench in this idea.

@@jeffbrownstain hazuki is classified as an angel, and he was the former composer of shinjuku. given that hazuki had the title of the composer but is classified as an angel, joshua would be one too. i don’t think joshua would be closer to a god as the composer if the only other composer we know of is an angel and (appears to) also have similar abilities to joshua. the higher plane is made up of primarily angels (presumably) and joshua is apart of the higher plane. i feel as if an angel would be the only reasonable explanation of what joshua is, especially considering that the wings he has in dream drop distance are quite similar to hanekoma’s wings shown in the secret ending.

Yes. Ansem the wise tells this to Riku at the very end. This is also how Xion is able to receive her memories from Sora. When Roxas and Sora's heart's start to blend and he starts crying in Roxas's place. Xion becomes real again, in the way that Roxas saw her when she perished. The tears are because Xion has emotional turmoil revolving around her existance. Roxas tells her that it's "Ok". Because even though she was made to hurt him, he knows she doesn't want to. Which is what breaks her programming. Roxas and Sora effectively make her and the things she feel real.

I’ve only seen the TWEWY gang in kingdom hearts, but I really hope they come back in Kingdom hearts 4! I love their personalities! Also I may be stupid, but I think Joshua and Naminé could possibly be connected (ok, maybe connected isn’t the best word for what my theory is, but hear me out) they have the same color hair, the same color outfit, close personalities, absurd amounts of power (in other words OP), and one controls dreams while the other controls memories. Also there are still a lot of mysteries about Naminé, so I’m just throwing out my theory even if it sounds stupid to everyone else! Alright, have a great day or night!
