How Junpei Could've Changed Everything

What if Junpei Yoshino Survived? What if Mahito didn't kill Junpei? How much would the story change? How would Junpei adapt into this new world of sorcery? In this new alternative timeline of jujutsu kaisen what if here is a scenario in which junpei's death never happened. Mahito kills Junpei no more and now Yuji and Junpei can fight the disaster curse together. How does Junpei fit into the Shibuya Incident of JJK? Could Junpei help people like Megumi or Nobara in Shibuya and most importantly would he interfere with Nobara's death or Yuji & Todo vs Mahito? Yeah, I am unsure why they were saying he didn't have one when it was expressly said in the Manga and Anime Though previously I was under the assumption you can not summon a Shikigami without a curse technique, but turns out there is something called a simple Shikigami which any sorcerer can summon.

I think Junpei could actually enhance Nobura’s character arc. Junpei was able to fight Yuji with zero combat experience, and Yuji could handle a special grade for a short while. Being shown up by your classmate, then seeing Nanami blow you out of the water? On top of all that, Junpei attacks at medium range. Nobura would probably take a back line in the fight, resulting in her not dying.

I mean, I don't think it's necessarily true that Junpei would have had to avoid the idol transformation entirely, the fact he speaks to Yuji is enough to suggest he had some level of self awareness remaining. If we changed up the timeline enough that Mahito was a bit more unfamiliar with his technique, Junpei could have easily continued as another Panda-esque character, or Nezuko, slowly working his way back to being more human. This could also have come back around when Todo gets his arm transformed, Junpei could have assisted with bringing Todo back to more or less full functionality and allow him to participate in the Culling Games arc as a key character.

The insidious poison is now direct heat. Shikigami to transformation, makes it personal, with a transitional armor step. Tying in the poisonous jelly to cigarrets and them to a heated smoke octopus is genious. Also, now an unhindered junpei can shave the side of his head and get a cool kraken tentacle tatoo up his neck and to his forehead, using the cigarret burnscars the suction cups. Another interesting thing about this scenario I noticed you didn't say, is that since Nobara and Junpei would exhaust Haruta's miracles, that would mean that Sukuna would not fight Mahoraga since Megumi is the one who summons it against Haruta, meaning in the Final Battle in Shinjuku, Sukuna wouldn't have Mahoraga tamed. This also means that Megumi wouldn't be injured, which means either He would fight Sukuna or that he would join sides with Yuji against Mahito.

Sukuna didn't tame Mahoroga in Shibuya, that was a ritual involving multiple people so it doesn't count. he for sure tamed Mahoroga off screen in the 2 month time skip between Gojo busting out and their fight

I could see the smoke being an extension of his technique, but Junpei *has* a technique, which is the poison that he channels through Moon Dregs. This is explicitly said in Chapter 26 by Mahito, and isn't skipped over in the anime either. The way I could see the smoke working might be that he could spread his poison through the air eventually, creating a cloud of poisonous smoke. That would be fitting due to the cigarettes thing in his past, and would still utilize his innate technique. Still, the close quarters application of Moon Dregs turning Junpei into basically JJK Doctor Octopus is such a fantastic idea!
