The real test will occur as we approach the options expiration date at the end of December If bitcoin fails to break $100k convincingly this year, bitcoin is history. As it is bitcoin is seriously overbought (it ought to be trading in the $70k-$80k range)… gunning for $100k was a serious mistake by the market manipulators - failure to break $100k convincingly will freak out all those that got in the recently rally and all those looking to get even; it might even scare long term holders to jump out. The induced profit taking is likely to turn into fear for those looking at their unrealised profits evaporate

The value of such a scarce asset will be determined by the society at that time. Think real estate. BTC trades like Gold but is really Rhodium in secret. BTC is to be held and stored for greater future valuation in my opinion I wouldn't trade for it beside fiat or if you are getting out of something else. ETH has a better future appreciation in my opinion unless there is a moon cycle where BTC goes to $500K to $1M a BTC. The reason why I think ETH is better is you can still trade other alt currencies or fiat for it and most likely profit. Also, you can stake your 1 ETH and earn 2-3% interest on it if it is converted to STETH, CBETH, etc. On the other hand, BTC you have to time just right or stick with it. Also if you trade alts for BTC its a negative game as you most likely will be trading the alts for lesser and lesser BTC due to its constant valuation upward or steadily. If ETH goes to 15K or 20K it might become more like BTC and become harder to trade for other currencies and still profit as most would just stake it to get their profits.

If you want a lesser store of value that you can earn on a bit better and trade with easier get ETH. I feel like I'm set with the amount of BTC I have. I could always attempt to sell my ETH if I thought I needed more BTC.

Great question, Lino! The magic of Bitcoin lies in its hard cap-only 21 million will ever exist. That’s it. Not 30, not 50 million. Satoshi Nakamoto intentionally designed it this way to create true digital scarcity, something no government or central authority can change. When all 21 million are mined (around 2140), it doesn’t mean Bitcoin becomes inaccessible. It’s divisible down to 1/100 millionth of a Bitcoin (a satoshi), so even fractions will hold value. Think of it like gold-few people own entire bars, but even a tiny piece can be meaningful. This fixed supply is why Bitcoin is often called the hardest money. It’s built to hold value, and owning even a small piece could make a big difference over time. That’s why I’m stacking sats now.
