I will always be thankful to KO. I started listening to him during the Iraq War when so much of the media seemed to be rubber stamping the way the war was being "pitched". I felt I was aye going crazy. I had a huge suspicion the mainstream media was wrong and was very relieved to see KO pointing things out that I also saw and agreed with. So thanks Keith!

I'm glad TYT brought this up. I hadn't even thought about Olbermann's success like that. I almost always watch MSNBC for my news but I have watched fox in the past (out of curiosity). The difference between conservative media and liberal media is the fact that liberal media doesn't have to lie or distort to have a story. They try to be responsible in their reporting. Fox will do anything to shape public opinion.

Although I think it's great that both sides are now (finally)starting to be equally represented, I think we set our selves up for serious problems when we have seperate news stations to express different ideologies. We should'nt be thinking of NEWS STATIONS in terms of "liberal" and "conservitive" . News should be impartial. News stations need to start representing BOTH sides of an argument without having an agenda.

Liberals aren't "pro-abortion", they just believe the option needs to be there, for various reasons. Instead of arguing pointlessly about abortion or no abortion, people should work together to reduce unintended pregnancies, improve foster care and adoption services. Oh, and spend some of those tax dollars on parenting classes, community programs for single parent kids and so on. Both conservatives HATE paying taxes so they just focus on abortion instead of the real problem.

I can explain tyo you in GREAT DETAIL what is wrong with that. but I only have so many letters allowed to respond...soooo... fact: the top 1% already 47% of all taxes paid, then add in the cumulitive top 10% and that adds up to 93% of all taxes paid. the middle class pays the final 7% and the poor get refunds. and you do make 1 valid point about the war. you are correct, we should focus on that and the economy and deal with health care next year.
