Thanks for highlighting Kerala's role in uplifting the poor in the North. The size of migrant North Indians is nearly 40 lakhs, according to unofficial figures. They do have a better livelihood in Kerala free from the shackles of caste hierarchy in the North .

Do you know how many Keralites live outside Kerala (within India)? Tens of millions live and gainfully employed or pursue other activities in the so called caste hierarchic society in the North. Just cross the border to TN or Karnataka and you will find millions of Keralites making living there. This is true for any cities or towns in every corner of India. So do not be brash in your comment (to indirectly blame the BJP for the casteist society in the North) as if Kerala is free from these maladies. Do not forget that Kerala is the most polarized society in India. I know that certain religious places are used openly to spew venom against the majority community and even exhorting their fellow religion followers to buy products from the shops owned by certain communities and they religiously follows this diktat. This is what is happening in Kerala. The reason why many people mainly from East India come to Kerala only for the reason that Keralites do not want to do such type of work as either they do not have the required skill or do not want to do such jobs because they feel inferior to do these type of work. At the same time, they have no shame in doing these jobs in gulf countries. So come to the ground and do not boast as if Kerala is lifting whole of North India out of poverty especially when Kerala itself was lifted out of poverty by Keralites working and remitting money from abroad. Mr Joe is well suggested to make a video on how Kerala has lifted itself out of poverty by the Keralites working in India and abroad.

During the recent kovid pandemic the northerners working in Kerala fled to home as everybody else did in other states to soon confess that they made big mistake by fleeing Kerala where far better treatment, food and other necessary amenities readily available than any other Indian state regardless the prevailing emergency! They openly admitted to media that even staying in their own homes was nothing short of a life imprisonment when comparing the life in Kerala! This should ring the bell.

Now a days, unlike what it used to be a number of Keralites who are residents of Europe , Australia, UK and USA are owning apartments and independent houses in Kerala. However there will be fewer takers for what that immigration consultant lady says in this video. The pace of immigration for studying abroad is experiencing a fall with countries like Canada sending back Indian students and even workers.

Post from Canada: The way that I see it is, I don't think you or those migration consultants have taken into consideration the impact of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in the coming years. This is going to change the need for manual workers and replace with robots. In fact, here in Canada we are already talking about 'Universal Basic Income' from joblessness. Long story short, West is going to shutter down and this migration trend will be reversed. But I am sure, there will be inward migration back to Kerala resulting from the loss of jobs in the Middle East Arabian countries. This will happen mainly from the rise of renewable energy and phasing out of fossil fuels. Also Global Warming will make this place unliveable.

The CMID data of migrant labours in Kerala is totally wrong They have taken the data of GI FT (Gulathi Institute of Foinance ND Taxation ) .They have taken randem checkup and calculated. Example The Surveyers got into train coming with the migrant labours took the the number of migrant labour made a ratio with the respect to the seating capacity of the train and the ratio was used to the census population and came to twenty five lakhs. BULL shit. The CMID used this figure and calculations for defining the economy of Kerala. You people don't even use their rational thinking before commenting.During covid Government of Kerala collected the verified and checked with the migrant labours,LSGD,Revenue ,Health ,Labour and Police dept were involved in it. Actual migrant labour's Will not me more than six lakhs. The CMD might be confirming the 25 lakhs with Perumabavoor where their office is located. So please don't mis guide the world.

Isn’t it a bit early to brag about? Infact it’s “millions of Keralites“ already “uplifted” by other states of India. Apart from a few West Bengal/ Bangladeshis not many are here in Kerala. Even the Tamilians who used to come have stopped coming these days. 😂 I have seen Malayalis working as restaurant waiters at Bangalore airport 😅 and others who are uber drivers in Chennai. So far travel to work as waiters and drivers who are “uplifting” Indians. 😂

@ I guess you are only looking at brain drain and not labor drain which is in larger numbers… that’s has been happening among Malayalis since long to cities like Chennai Bangalore Delhi Mumbai Ahmedabad Hyderabad Surat etc and even to tier two cities like Salem Trichy Madurai etc I remember struggling to say mustard in Marathi when the local vendor asked are you looking for “kaduku” in Malayalam 😂. This was in Bandra Mumbai just behind the church, and it was just a 50sqft hatch of shop. He didn’t understand English (mustard). I wondered why he was living in those conditions in Mumbai when he could have opened a veg shop in Kerala. Then it crossed my mind that Keralites love to brag rather than be practical. 😂

The problem with Malayalees is that they are not willing to do menial in Kerala . Plumber, certified electrician, carpenter, painter, etc. A plumber charges a minimum 500 rs for small work. A caretaker at home 25k, with accommodation and food and 2 days paid leaves . Daily wages 1k . In other states, it is low as move north ward it is 400 or 500. 10th class education is free from late sixties. Those who went to gulf took their relatives and neighbors . Those who migrated to US took their immediate relatives, and it was a chain of action. My nephew's wives family, 8 siblings in US her father is staying in Kerala due to weather. I went abroad for 5years and came back. My brother's both sons abroad But they help their neighbors for medicine, food etc. After software engineering and Nursing many go to western countries. Our family make sure poor children gets education
