The Luka injury sucks, but get him right, man. For this team to really be the class of the conference Luka needs to be Luka.

In Kyrie we trust. Also just think 12 months ago we'd be relying on Grant Williams and THJ to get 15-20 points each but now we have PJ and Klay!
@Velveteenvision2 күн бұрын
Somehow THJ would go crazy when Luka was out and score 40pts hahah
@Velveteenvision2 күн бұрын
Let’s just hope Klay doesn’t have a game like the last away game vs okc when he went 1/11 Fgm and 1/8 from 3. I hope pj has a game like the okc game with 25 pts or was it 27? Either way

This version of the Mavs has something no other has - plausible deniability. It's not Luka or nothing now. If they can comfortably win games where Luka only scores 16, they can win games where he sits. What a time to be alive.

I'm not worried about Klay yet because I don't think he's in his "final form" in Dallas. I need to see him when Luka is back to being Luka reliably. Hopefully at some point Klay will be taking 10 threes a night (with at most 1-2 forced or heat checks) and hitting between 3 and 6 of them way more often than not.

Klay is Klay so it's too early to judge his impact on this team. It is worth noting that Josh Green's three point percentage over the last two years (he's over 50% so far this year) is higher than Klay's is right now. It is malpractice that Klay isn't getting more shots than he has been getting so far. Shooters gotta shoot.

@You think rival rockets trading Tari to us? Oubre shot 32%, I mean didn’t DJJ do that, and he succeeded with the Mavs,My thing with the Mavs get an athletic wing now.

@@jonathansilal2669 i do like oubre but he has to be relatively cheap for it to make sense,there is no reason to believe is shooting will be more efficient yet, and i still believe the other options are still better

Lukas out this game. It will still be good I feel confident we can win games without him(in a good way😂)
@SDesWriter2 күн бұрын
What in the hell makes you confident? Was it the 2pt win over OKC without either of their big men and Caruso? I’m sure taking 28pts, 8reb & 8 assists (plus quality ball control) out of the game won’t affect them at all….🙄
@beastscale18922 күн бұрын
I'm looking more so for body language and the team competing than just wins. As let's be real here. Luka's post game and passing ability is needed against superstar matchups like Denver who got experienced offensive stars who know how to score. Defense and our bigs are going to be needed for every game now just to have a chance at victory. Klay being a consistent 3pt shooter can be the edge that gives us a lead. We'll see what this team is made off during this Luka time off. So Luka can rest and not rush himself back.

@@SDesWriter U gotta have a feel for the game of basketball, understand the players skills and roles they have in the team. When star players are sidelined the chances for a “role player” to show his potential goes through the roof (Naji 👀 Pj 👀) Huge win against the nuggets!🔥

thats because we expected this, we knew he would have horrible games way before he played first game, but more often than not he will play good, but its still early , give him until after all star to be critical of him thats out of respect to ignore his bad game and to make sure his mental health is ok, cause we know how klay takes everything mentally so imagine him seeing mavs fans on his ass after 1 bad game, come on
