@@mxhughes anyone can jumpshot if you put in the work, which is why literally any player can knock down shots in the open gym. There’s no mechanical difference between shooting in a gym and on the court, it’s just an issue with form/ muscle memory/ mentality in actual games

Dragan Bender was the 4th Pick and Marquese Chriss was the 8th Pick in the 2016-17 NBA Draft. They are also no longer in the the NBA. The clock starts to tick right after the Draft - you have to prepare, work to improve, hope to stay healthy and try to fit the system you are Drafted into (Adaptation). The NBA has only about 450 Players among its ranks on a yearly basis...60 Players are Drafted each year...hopefully the Players save a significant amount of money from these lucrative NBA Contracts so they can have something to start their lives after basketball.

You make a good point.... There are only about 12-15 players per team, which is not a lot compared to other big leagues... @@whoishim2998 The math says it is incredibly difficult to make it into the NBA…staying for more than one year as even a Player that shuttles from the G-League to the NBA is just as challenging. There are 7.8 Billion people on the Planet currently - there are only 450 NBA Players per year. New Players (60) get drafted every year, Players not drafted can make the G-League or go International to work on their Game in hopes to make the NBA. Nothing is easy in this World.

I agree with the Boylan comment, when he was running the point under hoiberg is when he was at his best, when boylan came he was relegated to a spot up shooter and everything ran thru Zach who is a horrible playmaker, everybody’s game took a hit except Zach’s of course since he was the focal point. Dunn tried to make it work by stepping up his defensive game, which really shined. However AK and Donavan did not think the Bulls needed him, and now injuries have done him in. Hopefully he can find a place.

Pretty much another reason why where you’re drafted matters. The timber wolves to be fair is not a good team to start unless you already have the talent to not be stunted. Kris Dunn played his best under Fred hoiberg. The dude was putting up 15 5 5 with like two steals a night. Then he busted his mouth, and Jim boylen was hired by the time he returned.

Jaylen Brown is incredibly intelligent and works hard on/off the court. He is the best Player in the Draft. Simmons can’t shot and Ingram doesn’t commit to the Game. Both are naturally gifted - Jaylen Brown spends most of his offseason Training. Clearly the right choice at 3rd Overall Pick in 2016. 🤓🏀

I saw Kris Dunn play in high school. He went to New London High in CT. No doubt he was much better than the kids he was going against but I never thought top 5 pick in the draft when I watched him. It’s not surprising he didn’t quite make it.

As a rookie he was going to have a difficult time developing under Thibs to start with and then getting traded to the Bulls with all the problems that franchise had was no better but I always wondered if Kris was drafted into a better situation would he have had more success…. I still hope he’ll find some success in the NBA 🤞🏽

He’s a all defense potential, I think he should have went to the heat, still could & turn his career around/ run the bench. Heat culture is defense, I classify dunn as a tempo pushing defensive minded pg

Questionable coaching and injuries really held him back. I follow his career closely as I grew up with him and hope the best for him. Every time he started to show growth he would get injured and that growth would get reset.

We don't use real point guards out here on Lakers. He would be a defensive stopper like Alex Caruso. The short time he payed he's slightly better than Caruso on paper for the 2021-22 season.

It’s sad being the age of rookies now. Seeing players my age that will not pan out will be really sad to watch. People that grew up the same age as me with the hopes of making the NBA only to make it in the lottery and fail hurts me to watch.
