Is it possible to profile a Miku? - Andertons 'Look like', or how is the best way to fake a Marshall stack or tips to relic your guitar, best leather clothes to match your favorite hair metal band - The Captain Helps People Buy a Rig, with some random customers - Captains meets ... and makes his guest uncomfortable by make them play with unusual setups - Find out what is what with different plectrum materials - You cannot have your amp around, what is the way to get your sound with whatever amp you can get: Clean channel + pedals, Fx loop + pedals, fx loop + preamp pedals, multi effects? - Make Chap, Lee, Bea, Pete learn the same solo, than make them play with same gear over the same backing track and see how the equipment reacts do the player. Maybe record the same thing with different amps and guitars - Deeper dive into Fishman Fluence Pickups - Does roasted necks really work? Let's find out by putting this guitar into the fridge. - Rob once said something about a Gibson that really inspires him to write music. Inspiring gear! About a year and a half ago, I was depressed and struggling to find meaning in my life. I liked music, and it helped a bit, but my only way to play music at the time was the trombone in school, which is still fun, but it wasn’t what I needed to fill the void. Since I was a lover of music, I followed a few music channels on KZbin. Then, one day, on my feed, KZbin recommended me a Chappers and the Captain video. I watched video after video all night. It got me hooked on wanting to play guitar 🎸. A few months later, I begged my parents for a guitar for Christmas. I finally got a guitar on Christmas Day, 2017 and started learning. I’m almost a year in now and I’ve made great progress. Playing guitar has brought an immense feeling of meaning and purpose into my life, and I never would have picked up the instrument if it weren’t for Rob Chapman and Lee Anderton. I am in Australia and I bought a Variax from you because I thought, "I wonder what deal they can do. I'll give them a shot". It worked out only slightly cheaper than I could have bought it here in Australia because of import duty but the guitar arrived in my hands within 10 days of ordering it and I've not had any problems with it so I'm well happy. As someone that researches most purchases before I buy. And as someone who loves Steve Vai/Joe Satriani/Eric Johnson types of guitar players. And who found Anderton's after looking up Steve Vai Bee Keeper video (His son posted a vid with his hives that I thought was cool) and happened to see Andertons channel in the sidebar I think the video I discovered first was "The Captain meets Paul Gilbert" (Who is another Player I like a lot). I want to say thanks for the informative vids. I am not able to get out as much as I like and channels like this help to sort thru a lot of fluff. And while I am in the U.S. I want to say that I definitely use Andertons vids as a shopping references. So any brands that make it in Andertons vids take note. My favorite memory from an older video: "LIVE, IN YOUR EYE!" I also loved an episode from years ago, I think they tested which Les Paul had the most sustain. When testing the cheaper Epiphone they hit a perfect resonating tone that sustained for like 10 times longer than any of the 'top-notch' Gibson's. They kept laughing and it kept sustaining.

What makes you guys great is the banter and your on-screen chemistry. All that aside, I do miss the more silly videos. They were awesome to watch

For me since I became a viewer a few months ago, you guys are engaging and that's why I come back. But then there's the intangibles. Pete, Chappers and Rabea etc, are all excellent players and different players. So I can look to them for a lot of playing tips/tricks whatever, but then Lee is like me. Good, but by his own admission doesn't practice enough etc,. So you got the Everyman dynamic as well as the Expertise dynamic. Every other time I went for a lesson or hung out with someone that was better to try to grow as a player it was like "Do this and that and watch me show off for 20 minutes". Awful experiences. You guys judge equipment and other stuff, but you never pass judgement, even if you do, the blindfold challenges are very revealing. I know you've helped me a great deal in a very short time, but if you weren't interesting I'd still suck and you's have one less viewer. Instead, I have a new amp based on what I knew from your videos coupled with what was available to me in my area and for my budget. And, I am getting a new guitar. Not even one you've demo'd, but the general praise for the quality of all cheap guitars nowadays that many of your videos have mentioned and my wanting to learn how to work on my own guitar (thanks to Pete and Justin), I just bit the bullet and bought one to be my guinea pig (no offense to Italians). Now I need me some sandpaper and an allen key. I've thanked you guys before and I probably will again, but thanks again. For now...

@ Mac Anoodough: I'd definitely recommend you check out their review of the Miku pedal = I've never heard anything so funny - it's hilarious + well worth a look.

It is true, you guys are sufficiently entertaining to merit watching just for the entertainment value. The information one garners is just a bonus. Thanks guys.

I learn a lot from watching Anderton's vids. I laugh quite often at the shenanigans. Keep up the good work.

The Korg Miku was my all time fave. Didn't you do one years ago, testing guitar cases by throwing guitars out of an upstairs window?

Respect to you guys for always keeping it real. It's refreshing to see a business owner who is so transparent and just seems like a genuinely nice dude.

I would disagree that the channel hasn't helped sales a whole lot. I watch several reviews and then make my purchasing decision so I don't use the "link in the description below" as they say :) But I did eventually order a G&L on the strength of your review. But there's no way of measuring that. Whole channel is a tremendous resource. And very funny occasionally. The Korg Miku episode is legendary :)

With this quarantine going on, I love just spending time watching these guys banter and shredding! They’re very entertaining and help pass the time in this screwed up era we’re stuck in. Keep crankin em out guys! You’re a breath of fresh air! I realize these videos aren’t new, but they are to me, and probably others too. So watch these guys, get a smile on your face, then go and Jam for a while! Nothing to enhance your Jamming like a great guitar video with great hosts! Thanks guys!

In late 2018 i was looking to try my hand once again at learning guitar. I decided to go cheap at first and was interested in an Epiphone Les Paul SL. In the coarse of doing research i stumbled on the Anderton's review. I live in the States and had never heard of your Music Shop before. That night i fell done a rabbit hole and must have watched 20 or so Anderton's videos. The dynamic between all the personalities in your videos is what sets you apart. I genuinely feel like I'm watching a group of mates talking about gear, which at the end of the day I suppose it is. I am now on my third guitar purchase in the last 12 months and I am playing better than I ever have. My wife and I are planning a trip to the UK in the near future, and Anderton's is definitely on our list of places to stop. Thanks for the inspiration your videos provide. Here is the link to the very first Anderton's video I ever found. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nn-9fYeDnNV1aqs

I think you made an excellent point, I don't watch TV or even tv shows very often. The people on KZbin that I like are genuine and engaging people who generally are being themselves and aren't doing skits or putting on a show or act.

I was just getting into guitar and looking into gear and such when I was recommended the fretless guitar video back in 2016, this channel is what has taught me so much about guitars, brands, gear, and just good knowledge to have, one of my favorite channels on KZbin, 100% quality every time.
@Nj14986 жыл бұрын
I like the fretless guitar video, simply because it's one of the first I watched. The Christmas one where you threw guitars in that tough case outside the window was tough to watch, but awesome! Then you have the Miku video! Also, the "Choose a rig for your mate" videos!

One of the things I've always appreciated about this channel is that there is so much great information without taking the process too seriously. Music is supposed to be fun and emotive while being open to different interpretations. Keep promoting the beauty of that with your videos, and I will keep watching.
