Lily King is my hero! I have pursued learning and perfecting the breaststroke the last two years. I earned a gold medal in the 200 breaststroke in my state Senior Olympics and will be going to the National Senior Olympics next spring. I want to learn all I can from Lily in the next year to do my absolute best next year.

I agree Tay Tay. Lily King needs to get her head out of her arse. In another interview she said she "expected to win the 100 and was shocked when she didn't." Puh-leeeeez. The world is bigger than America. The rest of the world isn't just going to hand you the gold because you think you should have it. One of the major highlights for me in Tokyo was Shoenmaker, and the way she stalked that world record. Closer and closer in the heat and the semi - and that incredible gut-busting effort in the final. Shoenmaker is the current breaststroke queen and she deserves that title. Lily King needs to get her ego and expectations in check and do the work.

Also, prior to Tokyo she said the American women were going to win ALL the gold medals against the Aussies even though the Aussies did extremely well in their trials compared to the American trials. After the olympics, i think only Katie Ledecky and Jacobie were the only ones to win gold whereas the rest of them flopped LOL. Now Lilly is complaining about why silver and bronze medals aren't as celebrated as much as gold 🤦🏽‍♀️..

@@FaresKsebati No you don't. She's painful. I feel sorry for Regan that they keep pairing her with Lily King in interviews. Regan just wants to find her feet as an international swimmer and she keeps having to deal with some outrageous statements from Lily King. Shoenmaker is the current breaststroke queen and Jacoby is the gun for the USA. Lily King had the temerity to say in her press conference after the trials, "Coming third is a horrible thing to deal with." Well ... I expect she flushed her Tokyo bronze down the can. Lily King said she "expected to win the 100 at Tokyo and was shocked when she didn't." She needs to get a grip on her mouth. Maybe she's not as bad as Sun Yang, but she's not far behind. The highlight for USA at Tokyo swimming, was Finke's final lap in the 1500. If you want to celebrate an individual celebrate that. Lily needs to learn some lessons from Katie Ledecky who is a true champion.

To swim the breaststroke fast, just have a quick stroke and no or very little gliding. I've been practicing the stroke that way at my assoc nation pools. We have 22 pools in my association.
