Summer McIntosh, Ledecky is the Goat for the 800 and the mile no question about it, but a 17 year old who is so dominant at this event is deserving of recognition for her greatness

I said this year I was going to workout and try to lose weight. I am obese and just got diagnosed with being a diabetic. Consistency and diet have always been my enemy although, I’ve worked out more this year than I had in the past ten years +! I just started to swim last week…. Took a few classes at the gym I belong to. Now I know what I’ll be doing to meet my fitness goals! I feel soooooooooo happy when I’m swimming! I love it! I’m watching this video to stay encouraged and learn some new things.

I HAVE A TIP! If you have a symbol on your cap look through the center of the cap and you can see a sort of flap on the top? Next put the flap to your forehead and then pull

Breathing is very individual thing and depends on distance and event.

@@thesea4120 yes but her key rivals Molly O, Katie, Summer all breathe every 2 strokes so Titmus is an outlier in that quartet. I’m after Faris’s thoughts on that as I think he tends to the opinion that most top swimmers race breathing every two strokes outside of 50 and maybe 100 free.

@@jorritmorrit not common amongst the other top 3 elite women freestyle swimmers. Katie L,Molly O and Summer M all breathe every two strokes. So Titmus is an outlier in that elite quartet. I think that’s interesting and worth Faris’s commenting on as it’s part of technique. His video focused exclusively on catch but I would love to hear him talk about her timing, kick and breathing pattern as that’s possibly more interesting than the initial catch where I think they all have an EVF and clearly despite the deficiencies he pointed out around crossing over the centre line it doesn’t seem to be costing her much😄

I still don't understand why Olympic swimmers don't wear the slim speedo bikini style anymore. Isn't the reason to reduce as much drag as possible? Especially when they used to wear those body suits, wtf?

Hi, can someone answer, when your head is under water, do you need to exhale with nose or mouth or both at same time? And is it correct to exhale one part of air when you rotate your head to inhale air, just before inhale. Nice regards!

I usually swim 3 times per week @4-6km (in the winter only 0.6-1.2km) in open waters (we have 3 lakes in area) in the night and that relax me and make me to feel great. I do that for better state of mind and for rare occasion of triathlon contest for 50+ yo. When i have opportunity, i also swim in the night in the sea, sometimes greater distances.
