When you're an active player in a fast moving game and your adrenalin is coursing through your body, your focus is on the 'centre' of activity, not the spectators on the periphery. The Adrenalin rush fuels the 'battle frenzy', making it hard to focus on frame-by-frame pictures of the action, just 'act and react'.
