BMS can charge or discharge the cells since both functions are not needed at the same time. if you are referring to something else please elaborate your question.

If we use lithium battery for solar system, battery is charging with solar power and at the same time we use the battery for the connected load. So the battery is charged and discharged simultaneously. So, will bms can charge and discharge in this situation.

@@francistj7272 yes. bms can handle this situation. I think you are using seperate mppt and inverter. In this case if you have excess production then it will be stored to battery and when the production is low then inverter will take power from battery+mppt. In these bms for input and output is from same terminal so no issues.
