I am a bit worried about the Southampton fixture, especially after the international break. We should be able to win. Just need to get a good first half in. Forest will make it hard for Arsenal, would be happy with a draw in that game. Spurs and City should be a cracking game. Would love a Spurs win, but will most likely be a draw.

This weekend throws up some tasty fixtures. I'd like to see what happens between Arsenal and Forest. I'm hoping we can trust Spurs to do us a favour this weekend 😅 I'm going in with fingers crossed 🤞 City's juju scares me though. You're right about PTSD, Red. We've been scarred too many times. BUT, City's juju must be crushed completely 😅😂 There is a multitude that wants to see us fall. Let's disappoint them once again this weekend. But, let's not tempt fate, though. City have a way of coming good just when they've been written off and I suspect Spurs might underestimate them a bit. I hope the team don't underestimate Southampton too. We could end up regretting it. As for Forest and Arsenal, I'd have been more confident if Odegaard wasn't back. They're one dimensional without him. I'm mad they haven't had to face the kind of adversity we have. It would be nice if they got a good taste of what we've endured in the last 4 seasons. Problem is, though, they would still get sympathy and goodwill from the media and the authorities. Meanwhile we are always told to suck it up. I can put up with that if they get to feel the despair of losing up to 7 first team players and having to scramble to cover for the injured, while navigating negative officiating by refs who elevate the occasion and ego over the game in front of them.

Indeed, for Arsenal a win is a must, a dangerous position against a clever opponent like NFO. MC will probably beat Spurs (and Spurs don't look like top 5 this season). Liverpool will probably beat Southampton. It will not come easy though, but Liverpool has many more tactical options if adjustments are needed to rake in the 3 points.

@@thelolly51 Thats a bit myopic, how many teams have bad days, bad games etc. Thats was one of my problems with Liverpool teams, they could beat the best of best on their day but just not turn up against lesser oposition, they lacked consistency, that seems to be turning round.

This is 100% a potential banana skin. Weirdly we do seem to struggle against the lower league sides. It's almost like they play to the ability of the opposition and just cant step it up the extra gear needed to win, though that's a different lifetime ago, we're much stronger in defence this season. 😉
