I agree. We did well at the end of the first 1/4. Our cushion is because City dropped those points in ONE quarter of the season. We can easily drop the same points in the remaining THREE quarters. It's a cliche but, while we have overcome challenges, we have only been tested once. Are we right up there? Yes. Have we earned top spot so far? Yes. Are the signs of Slot's approach really good? Yes. But it is way to early to make us favourites. But at least I'm not a Manyoo fan, looking at whether they are going to compete with BRIGHTON this year, or Everton, who couldn't get into Europe with Thomas Cook.

Brighton fan here so I’m a bit biased but tonight’s game is pivotal to our season I we can get a win against Bournemouth then the next few games are winnable and we could go on a bit of a run and finish higher than ninth .

If Liverpool beat MC at Anfield the title goes to Liverpool. Rodri being injured was the game changer. Next season will be more difficult for Liverpool, other teams will be more familar with Slot's style, and there could be key departures. Of course there is the 115 charges but I don't think MC will get much punishment. The only thing that does worry me as a Liverpool fan is anything happening to Virgil and Konate, that's the one area of the team we can't afford to have injuries.

As an Arsenal fan, can't argue on 3rd based on what we've seen. My two main counters are, still got 27 games to go and we've had so many tricky away fixtures to start this season, hardest fixtures of the main 3 title challengers for sure. Now that could me nothing, but looking at our run coming up, we could win every league game until 2025 comes and if we're serious about the title we will. So I think we need to be within 6 points of 1st when January comes and I think we've got a good chance

Winning that many games in a row is a monumental task, and in order to be within 6 points of 1st you need Liverpool to lose a game. The only game in which that is at all likely is against us.

Interesting: I have a funny feeling about Spurs - not sure, and let's be honest, you can never predict how good they are going to be, but IF they turn up, I can see a win for them. I can't see Southampton doing well (I count a 1-2 to Liverpool as them doing well. I lived across the river from St Mary's ans have a soft spot, but they are bad for a championship side this year. Stephen Hawkins turned their offer down as a striker because he thought he could go and get a game at a better club. Newcastle will surely score more against WH?
