shakina antra im talking about if u want to do island hopping... usually the boat is big and motor- gas u have to pay for the whole boat in one day that would cost 12,000 php just for one day bcus of the boat ride ... or u can ride with people u dont knoe for cheap but u have to go with them and if they leave the island... u have no choice but to leave too even though u stil want to stay for a but longer

Great information video. thanks. Question: I know you calculated almost $2,000, How does one keep that much money with fear of getting rob? I saw another travel video where there was limited ATM's and they stood in line for almost an hour. I can see staying in a hotel there's a safe, but if cheaper hotels won't. when going places where the locals go, I don't think they would accept credit cards. I'm just worried I might get rob know that I'm a tourist. (as you can tell I've never been out of the US) thanks again

Well. I've never been robbed and I dont go to places with a high chance of it happening to my own analysis ( maybe places people said are not safe I found to be perfectly fine). Its definitely about not looking like a lost tourist. Looking people in the eyes. Smiling. Letting them know youre cool and collected.Comes with time. I always carry with be a high worth of tech and cash. Beeing robbed is too often a self fulfilling prophecy and happens to those to are scared of it the most. If it will happen it will happen. But I'm not concerned. Alert not anxious.

Great job, Dan! I think roughly a thousand dollars for a month of adventures in Ph is not bad. It's really good that you seems like you're not a very maticulous traveller. I guess being a Minimalist is really an advantage when one decided to travel the Ph (or travelling in general). Hope to bump into you in the Philippines when you get back. This one person’s experience but you are right then US$1,000/m is a good budget. But this doesn’t include the international travel costs to get to and from Philippines. If you “live” there in one place you can stretch that budget. By the way, you missed communication expenses: cell account for calls, messaging and data. You can get WiFi at your accommodations but you need to stay in touch when out and about. Budget $50/month unless you’re a heavy duty data user. Thx. Looking forward to seeing your new channel

Yup missed the data. I move around so wifi is included in my accommodation (love that I dont have a wifi contact anymore after giving up my last appartment). For mobile data I spend on avarage 10$ a month.
