Please help. My dad is 70 years old and he suffered an ischemic stroke last week 03.20.2023. Its been a week and he is able to speak some sentences good and can remember certain things although he doses in and out. He can move his arms and legs but is weak on his left side. Will he make a full recovery? What is his life span expectancy? I want him to walk me down the aisle soon in a year or so.

My mother is suffering from 4 years due to hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke. Will the heaviness on her left side go away. She is already taking tizan and baclof for her tightness also doing physio therapy. Any doctors who see this please 🙏 reply why her heaviness hasn't gone yet and can she ever have a normal life. I always wish my mother to recover.

I am not sure if I will be able to get a reply but my father suffered acute stoke 6-7 years ago and is in a hospice for therapy. The according to my mom, she said that at first he was able to mouth the words but without voice. However he suffered from nerve damage in his brain, so now he can only nod his head for yes and not able to speak anymore. Is there any hope left?

6-7 years after his stroke, you should have approached speech therapist and see if he can communicate again. It's still ok to consult a speech therapist and see if he can gain his speech back. I hope he is walking atleast.

My mom had a stroke on Saturday when I found her she was on the floor she couldn’t stand up I thought her leg gave out on her then I thought she she had vertigo so I immediately called 911 they came they took her blood pressure it was high so they immediately rushed her to Emergency room the checked her heart everthying was fine they did her cat scan everything was fine so now her speech is gone her memory is coming back slowly how long will it be before her speech and her memory come back

​@@SuhasGonow he is in therapy rehabilitation for almost 5weeks the recovery is little bit only. According to therapy doctors take long time to him to recover because very much damage. And beside the brain stroke happened he was in airplane so take long hour before he got to hospital. Untill now even his in therapy hes not able to stand alone 😢
