Hey guys! Last year I got to play with the AMAZING Ariel Posen, and he totally blew my mind... one of the most talented artists I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. Period. This was taken from a fun session with Ariel and the great drummer Pete Ray Biggin (Level 42, Amy Winehouse etc), filmed at Pool Studios in London. This was the first time we'd ever met. We ran the track once, then hit record. I think it ended up with a pretty cool vibe. I was using my trusty old P bass custom shop body with a Moollon neck, straight into a vintage Ampeg B15. Ariel's about to go on tour... I HIGHLY recommend going to catch a show if you can! Go here to catch the dates: www.arielposen.com/

Ariel Posen is one of my favourite artists. Watching Scott play with him and also Josh smith you realise just how he’s the real deal. That bass line is a tour de force of subtlety and taste. Superb.

I became familiar with Ariel through Anderton's demo videos. Such a great guitarist, and now I hear he's got solid pipes, too? Dang...

Ariel is great. I love his old band too - the Bros. Landreth and Joey Landreth's solo stuff - Joey is a monster player too! Great Canadian content :)

Love this! Apart from the music, this short video gives a good insight in the way a session musician records a song (live), and how each instrument/player has a certain place within the song. I like how the structure of the song dictates the moments where you and the drummer play with less and more intensity. Definitely going to show this to my bandmates.

You've given a superb demonstration of what a great song is all about. Each part that each musician contributed is melodic, a melody that can stand on its own. How else could one vocalist, one guitarist, one bassist and one drummer sound so magnificent? It's an old technique but it takes time to develop that musical sensibility Nicely done!!
