There is a lot of conflicting info on the Ecoflow Power Kits ability to run a 12v air conditioner. Looks like you have real experience. Would you mind sharing which AC you have (looks like Indel B), how you hooked it into the Power Kit (fused outlet, directly to DC input, etc), and how it has performed in real life experience? Been FT on the road for 8 years and love staying out of rv parks. Part of my battery solution is an ecoflow delta. You’ve captivated me with your ecoflow system. Amazingly capable and that interface is so nice and comprehensive without being confusing. I don’t need something this sophisticated now, but in my next trailer I’ll consider it to replace what oem system the mfg gives me. Glad to know drifter could do that install. Thanks for dedicating a video to this topic.

I admire your adventurous spirit! Sarah - I live in Eugene where you bought your Airstream, but I now see the logic of your Transit van conversion. Did you have a Ford dealer in MI look for a van for you, or did you have one shipped out? I think I'd prefer the 50 gallon water tank instead of the 25 as well, as I'm thinking boondocking would be best for me. Do I contact Drifter Vans to ask if they could make my bed smaller and put a desk in? I'm a quilter and would need a sewing table. I would also need a larger fridge, as I'm a vegan who eats lots of veggies and is addicted to ice in my water. Hope to hear from you. I couldn't find a way to email you directly.

I read your previous comment as well and I think a van would be a better fit for you than an airstream. I am so glad I found your YT channel!! I have a 2023 Ford Transit 350 Cargo van, long so less room than what you have. I was told to start with the EcoFlow power kit 5kWH only and 300 watts of solar -- just see how it works and if I want more I can add another power kit. I will have the Nomadic 2 AC installed, a small but decent fridge which can both use up a lot of power. I see that you have the EF 10kWH and are doing well with 350 watts of solar. I very much love the EF generator and just may have to get one. It seems like a true game changer! It is a tad heavy and thinking I might have to find a way to store it on the rear bumper somehow. Will see later on. There are some pretty cool gear carriers on line that can fit nicely on the back door. I have subscribed to your channel. Glad to see a young lady doing well!!

These lithium batteries are great. With the huge storage banks you can last for a long time depending on your usage. I usually get a week without a recharge.

Total cost was around $170k. If you look at the Drifter website, I got the Nomadik (fitting, right?) on an extended Transit. 😊

I'm trying to install the EcoFlow Power Hub system in my Thor Coleman 19CM RV, which has an Cummins-Onan GQ 4000 gasoline generator that runs to an automatic transfer switch (which decides whether to use the generator power or the 30a shore power plug). However, when I connected my EcoFlow, the generator keeps tripping the EcoFlow on and off every few seconds, while the shore power works perfectly. Any idea why the generator charges the EcoFlow batteries through the Power Hub for a few seconds, then drops off and trips the circuit, then automatically turns itself back on...going through this cycle over and over?

How much was van and build? If you make it to the U.S. South Eastern states in the summer please rerun AC battery test. The van would make a nice mobile office if the AC can run for at least 10 hours a day in the South Carolina summer heat and humidity.

Totally agree! That was a big fear of mine as well. But it’s definitely worth the risk to get to take my home with me everywhere, and that’s what insurance is for.

The more power you use, you need a lot of solar panels and batteries, plus a big inverter.

Hey Sarah - I've been following you (my, that sounds creepy) for a few weeks now. I had been interested in buying an Airstream Caravel, and I live in Eugene, Oregon, where you bought yours, but now I'm following your logic on the Ford Transit Van and the built from Drifter Vans. Can you tell me what model Transit you got? 150, 250, 350? Is there an extended chassis? Will Drifter Vans come out with the Sarah model? From watching your Ecoflow power system, etc., I am drooling with envy. I'm 68 years old, I've got a dog, I'm retired, about mid-way through paying off my mortgage, and have a steady retirement income. While I like my little cottage and love my big back yard, I'm thinking I don't want to spend the rest of my days looking at the same four walls and the same scenery all the time. My body has painful issues, but I'm still able to get around well and it would be great to have my house with me when I need to rest for a bit before continuing my adventures. I've always loved camping and at one time was even a backpacker. I drove myself, my cat, and a UHaul trailer, cross country solo when I was in my twenties and have had the travel itch ever since. Would love some additional info, for which I am willing to buy you some coffee. Did you ask a Michigan dealership to scout out a Transit for you so you could get it to Drifter easily? I'm okay with it taking a couple of years, as I still have lots of planning to do, lots of crap to sell, and a house to shift. I admire your adventurous spirit and love your videos.

I am still making final touches on the van and want it to be complete before I film an official tour. A detailed tour is a beast of a video to film and edit while traveling full time, so I appreciate your patience as I transition into van life and find balance between filming, editing, and being on the road every day. 😊 The electrical system is a huge component of my van and will tie into the tour. This in-depth video of my power kit will be a great reference for people that want to know more about how I power my van's appliances.
