Taylor, I am 57 now. As a teen I worked my neighbors farm for years, and as a teen I had two dreams for my future, a farmer or a truck driver. I chose the latter. I often wonder how different my life would be if I had chosen the first option. But you are living your dream and I know and can see how much you enjoy it. And as they say, it's not really work if you enjoy what you do.

You ought to make a suggestion the manufacturer/rep of that plastic bale wrap material to mark one end in manufacture. It would help in the placing of the bale in the feeder the "right" way for distribution. You two may get some reward from them for being so clever.

Loved watching cow bobble heads as you doled out the corn meal. Cows having Me Too child like excitement. Winter is a famers much needed slow down time. Equipment repair and preventative maintenance period.

Knowing how much grain each cow gets reminds me of when I was a paperboy. I delivered to 3 apartment buildings, 5 floors each, 12 apartments per floor. 180 apartments total. Without really working at it, I evrntually memorized which apartment got the daily paper. So i could just tell you "E 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11,12. I never memorized the Sunday list. Now I can't even remember why I went into the bathroom.

Hello, Taylor. I am so pleased that I found your channel a few weeks ago. I have watched several of your older videos, and enjoyed every one. I love the interection between you and Brent. The video of you both going to collect the sawdust was a gem - he even bought you a doughnut. You are indeed very fortunate to have a boss like him. He is also very fortunate to have you as a worker; so willing, and so able. In western France, where I live, many Farmers of smaller dairies are getting out of milking - there is no money in it. In my village there were three dairy farms 6 years ago - now there is only one. Thank you for the videos.

Hi again Tay, with all the advancements in agricultural machinery, I cannot understand why they haven't devised a marker method on a bale wrapper to put a mark or arrow on the wrapped bale indicating the roll direction. Mark on one side to say it's this or that direction. Saves a lot of time when you need to unwrap in tight location or put it on a bale feeder . Don't have to keep turning the bale with skid steers or tractors. You can see which way they're rolled. Happy thanksgiving 🤔🤔🤔🤔just a suggestion. Are bulls and heifer calves after the belt Galloway sought after. Galaway is probably smaller in slaughter weight but maybe heifers calve easier with a Galloway calf. I have had 6 Galloways for grazing a meadow. They are better protected from teat stings and are good robust animals. I started the small herd with a bottle heifer calf, Rosa. Lovely calm animals.
