I have been IF for almost 2 years, and I just want to mention that as a long term chemotherapy patient (Metastatic Stage 4 cancer) IF gives your liver a much needed break as chemo. is metabolized in the liver (as are most medications)....I have been on a medical trial since 2016, and I am sure that my healthy lifestyle (have always been really active and healthy eater) is why I am not only surviving over 6 yrs with stage 4, but Thriving! I am increasing my strength training this year (I walk and cycle regularly), and I also try to break my fast with greens/vegetables and healthy protein. PS I am also a 60 yrs. old woman....FYI

I am really overweight. I’ve had a back injury as well as a severe depression for a solid 8 months. I barely got out of bed. I just started IF so walking will come in a week or so. I never felt so bad as I have this year. Close too leaving this world at one point. Glad I’m coming out of that.

My goal is to get back into my IF routine consistently - I foolishly ‘allowed’ myself some extra treats over the festive period and this resulted in me completely losing my IF mojo (absolute self sabotage, gave myself an inch and took a mile as per usual!). I’ve been trying to get back into it since new year and today I have managed my usual IF routine (16:8, low carb) - super pleased with myself. I cannot wait for my energy and lifted mood to come back! Thank you so much for all your videos Autumn - super positive and informative, they never fail to give me motivation and encouragement 🥰 Happy new year to you and anyone else who happens to read this, I hope 2022 is a fab year for us all 💪

My goal was to help with IBS. Weight loss and belly reduction is always a goal but feeling healthier is my main goal. I haven't had near as many belly issues since starting and I was just winging it before and now with all this knowledge, I hope to see even a bigger change. I do the same thing with my Fitbit.....when it buzzes in my office, I walk around the whole office and everyone knows what I'm doing!! I have a standing desk so I walk/march a lot and dance with the music. I have the updated 21 day IF and am learning so much because I started in January and just found YOU now (May), I'm obsessed with the learning, thank you!!!!!

One of my faves to break my fast is either a home made yogurt bowl/parfait or a 1/4 cup serving of overnight oats. Both use my home made high fat yogurt, low carb fruit ( currently out of berries so I've thawed apples and pureed to make raw applesauce minus added sugar), and pecans. On the overnight oats, I use plain uncooked quick oats, and my most recent batch I used equal parts of home madewhey to home made yogurt. I do pair both the oats and yogurt bowl with a good amount of protein, for instance yesterday I paired Apple yogurt bowl with 2 baked chicken drumsticks. I have made low carb cranberry pecan muffins for a on the go breakfast option, and paired with things like egg mini frittatas or baked then sliced Italian sausage links. I only do one muffin. I have done only the mini frittatas as a on the go breakfast too. I bake in either a muffin tin, or a silicone donut mold. I tend to put lots of fresh veg, and some form of meat in the frittatas. They fit great in a zip bag fir grab and go.

Love you and your show, thank you for sharing. I am doing keto along with intermittent fasting. I do a 16:8 fast but I do love having my fat coffee around 8 or 9:00 in the morning, is that okay or is that ruining my progress? When I have my coffee in the morning, my first meal typically will be somewhere between noon and 3:00.

I'm trying IF in Korea but it's so difficult because a lot of the ingredients mentioned in KZbin videos are difficult to find and just not realistic because they're more for western palates. Would really love some advice wrt Asian (specifically Korean) food. For example, kimchi/seaweed soup/rice....how all these factor in seeing results when doing IF for weight/fat loss. I tried it a few months ago and had great results but it wasn't good for a long term lifestyle because it's nearly impossible to live here and not eat rice/meat soups/side dishes etc. :/ Any advice Autumn?

I would like to do this. I have flirted with IF, but I am a shift worker. I work 6 to 6, two months of 6a to 6p and two months of 6p to 6a. The day shift is no problem and for that last week I have done well. However, I start the two months of night shift this week. Also another bump in the road is that I work Wed and Thur nights one week and Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun nights the next week, alternating like that for the two months. I have no idea how to approach this. I have thought about trying to eat one large meal during the evenings I work, but I don't think this will work for me. On my days off during night shift I am up during the day. I welcome any and all suggestions. Darcie

I’ve found that the goal of 20/4 doesn’t work for me right now. What happens is is that I’ll eat my 1st meal then I’m not hungry for at least another 5-6 hours and when I start to get hungry is when I’ll start to fix that 2nd meal. I found that if I force myself to eat again at that 3.75 hour mark, I can hardly stand to eat but then 3 hours later, I am hungry. And I’m sticking with keto.

I’m 61 and have always had a prob with this, so I was hoping IF would help. Any suggestions for getting things moving with fewer amounts of food going in? I want to keep the weight loss, but less IN is equaling less OUT 😬. TY!

IF only works for me if I do +20 hours. Why? Anything less and I do not see any results. I eat healthy and within my calorie intake limits. What am I doing wrong?

@@nikkysexxy2210 . I usually fast 20 hours, drink only water and black coffee. I break my fast with a small amount of protein, then have a meal about and hour later.

Its time restricted eating not fasting. Anything below 20 hours is time restricted. Which Ill do on a daily basis 14, 16 normally 18 hours. 24 hour fast once a week. Plenty of Sodium and minerals to push me through. I don't do it for anything other than I enjoy the discipline and finding out about myself. Its an exploration. Fasting/Time restricted has changed my life

I really want to lose weight and Eggs are usually the first thing everyone says to eat more of! 😞 I HATE eggs!!! I have forced myself to try to eat them, I just do not like the flavor and I especially don’t like the awful smell of a boiled egg. Any suggestions on how to use them and not notice them??

Is there even a point doing it like that? Aren't you supposed to be on a fasting program long time to have results? Fasting is a lifestyle change and not some "lose weight for the weekend" type of silly things you see in articles online

@@HaohmaruHL I was thinking it might work to give your gut a break every month. Kind of how some people might do a cleanse or a detox once in a while. Anyways, I was just curious if there’s any health benefit using it short term. But like you stated, I guess it’s more of a lifestyle, like keto or something. Thx
