As someone show has been podcasting for 6+ years, and owns a podcast studio where over 150 different podcast have recorded… the answer is: As long as you want if your audience is still listening. I drop a 3 hour podcast every week and more and 80% of the listeners listen to the entire thing. People come in and do anywhere from 15mins to 3+hours. It really depends on the content and if the listeners are tuned in.

I see many of these videos are SELLING something. MICS. Podcastle, AI etc. it is terrible the way this world is changing. GREED in America and AI will take over everything. Music. Screenwriting. Books. Radio commercials etc. will soon be ALL Artificial Intelligence. I have a friend who was in IRON MAN and he has a talk-show (he calls it) USING HIS CELL PHONE. No expensive APPS. No expensive MICS and selling shit for others and making a Commission $$. He sells HIS OWN PRODUCTS from his own country because he loves his ancestry. Food from his own country others cannot find here in USA. He has 600,000 Followers. Not bad at all. Thanks

I aim for no longer than 45 minutes but I am open to new ideas and approaches. Great episode and insightful information.

My first 5 have averaged only a little over 4 minutes. My first 8 videos are introductions to each playlist. I am keeping it short because of the amount of time to produce one video but also my thought is that being new someone might be more likely to watch if it is short. My regular videos will be between 10 and 15 minutes and maybe a little longer down the road. I am a few days short of two months into this and have a little over 3300 views. That is slightly better than I thought it would be. Watch time grows slowly with short videos.

Thank you for helping get our podcast off the ground! The audio isn't too hard but the video is definitely intimidating for someone with minimal experience. Will probably look to hire out in the future to make the video more engaging 🙂

We are all, well maybe not all, adults here we all sound differently, to edit out the ah’s and the um’s might be ok in your mind but it’s not how most people talk! When we start out in podcasting we’re not professionals here, we haven’t been to broadcasters school we are novices, amateurs we are expected to make mistakes and bad choices! Back in the 60’s I had a tape recorder I heard my recorded voice for the first time it sounded a whole lot better than now neither one would be considered radio worthy! Truthfully and meaning not to offend anyone but I sound like a Southern Hick from the Deep South I talk slow I select my words. When I talk to people from either the east or west coast I have to ask them to slow down because I can’t talk that fast nor can I hear or understand that fast. Most people who choose to take up a hobby such as podcasting or video casting do it because they have something to say and aren’t worried about what other people think! I came to your channel in hopes of getting tips, I’m all about FREE or SHOESTRING BUDGET! I don’t have a lot of money for fancy mic’s and pop filters and boom’s for spring loaded mic holders and control boards with sliders! I’m on a budget I have downloaded audacity, I have a USB karaoke mic and an idea, I also have stage fright and I thought this might be a way to get over this handicap but everyone thinks or insists on perfection! I hope this wasn’t too long I get long winded at times when I’m really passionate about things!

I hope your podcast is going great. I am about to start podcasting and I honestly don't care about perfection because I know someone out there needs what I have to offer. All I am looking for is how to get started because I am completely blank.

I wish I was long winded enough to go on for hours!!! But I don’t have that type of energy and mines are 15-30mins long… If I will get more views/subs then I could go longer….🧐

what I hate about most pòdcasts is that many take too long to get to the point, too many fool around or take most space to talk about themselves or their personal life that has nothing to do with the subject.

Podcasts are too long. The important information that really only takes 15-20 minutes is drug out to one to two hours. The important points in the description are not Easily found. Too much junk information. Done with them. Just get to the point and quit wasting time.
