I can’t say how great this was for me!! I just started my podcast “Each one, Teach one” on Spotify and Apple. I served 14 years in the US Army and I had to medically retire early and now I want to help other service members who are coping with PTSD and other traumas know that they aren’t alone while inspiring them to tell their stories. So far so good, only a week in and I am having a great response from many people! Thank you so much for giving me the courage to tell my story on a platform.

Literally just started my podcast 2 weeks ago. I look at it as ministering to people through everyday life. We talk about a wide range of issues people deal with day to day, that they don't usually talk about. I believe talking is healing. Just finished my 2nd episode Surviving Mothers day without your mom. This is for those of us who have lost their mother. I also have a prayer segment were I pray for different celebrities, instead of gossiping. (depending on what's in the news and on my heart)I'm super excited! it's called Let's Heal Queen. I need all the tips I can get. This was great advise. Thank You.

These are all tremendous tips for podcasters both new and seasoned. The biggest thing to keep front of mind when it comes to growth is patience. As Heather said, keep going and keep consistently publishing valuable content and your show will become recommendable. If one listener recommends your show to one of their friends, colleagues, etc, you’re doing something right! Keep making remarkable episodes and growth will happen.

I'm a pediatric occupational therapist and new dad, and I found a lot of value in this video, especially when you covered being authentic! I'm pre-launch on my podcast, but have the first episode recorded and ready! My bestie and I are setting up a private network for Christian women who are on a mission to be found faithful. In the network there will be different groups for different areas of stewardship, such as health, marriage, homemaking, finances, faith walk, etc. As a part of the faith walk part specifically, we are going to be doing a chronological group Bible study podcast. Basically, community members will have the opportunity to discuss each reading portion in the group, and then the podcast will follow as a recap of all of the best gems and nuggets that came out of that discussion. We are also going to be logging all of the differing perspectives / doctrinal differences as we go through scripture into topical directories that members will be able to comment on, and add their evidence to different perspectives of the "slow debates." We are especially excited to do the study chronological style... Reading the Bible in order of events as opposed to just the cannon order is a TOTALLY different experience!

Another good episode! I record my interview based shows on video and publish to my Titans of Transition KZbin channel then repurpose to audio podcasts. I also use Buzzsprout. My show is focused on career and life transitions. My interviews are with people from all walks of life and careers who bring inspiring stories and have lessons learned to share and encourage. I think more and more creators are going this dual publishing route so a deeper dive into this model would be a great episode idea for think media. I do recall some discussion from you all on this but revisiting it more specifically would be great. Thanks again for all the value you bring!

Wow, big up to you Heather, and to Sean! I love the whole style on the channel, and I totally trust your advice! When I started watching Sean about 4 years ago, (when I decided to have a go at a KZbin channel) I followed Sean to the letter on equipment, and almost everything else. And I grew the channel to 30K subs, but I stopped a few years ago. But now I'm getting into the whole Podcasting thing, so I started researching on KZbin, and Heather pops up, and wow, great advice! It's like coming back to an old friend and consultant! And someone who really practices what he preaches! When I started watching you, ThinkMedia was shooting for a million subs. Now it 2.3 mil! Congratulations! And a sincere thank you for helping me navigate the currents. Respect :)

The one thing not on this list that helped me grow my show more than anything else was defining my audience. Niching until it hurt and I wasn't sure there were enough people to even support an audience. My show is for first-time novelists to learn marketing and the publishing mindset. (The urge to stay broad hurts new podcasters, but it's often ignored in the discussion.)

Hello. I did start a podcast. It is called The Pochcast. We just finished season 1 with 31 episodes and we have already recorded 10 new episodes for season 2. About 85% of the podcasts I am sitting and talking with content creators. Getting to know them, where they started and where they are going in this field. I love talking with people and this has been a great way to share their experiences with so many others. About 15% of the podcasts are a group of us reviewing really bad movies and having a blast doing it. We spend so much time laughing and watching the bad movies, so you don't have to. I love doing this podcast and plan to do it for a very long time. Thank you for your videos. They are so much help to me. I am still figuring out how this all works.

This is what is called a "timeless" content. Here is my own tip and it mirrors what Heather is saying. My blog site is the central hub for what I create. Hold on! When I'm done with the writing or nearly done, I'll turn around anc create a KZbin video to complement the blog post. Later, I'll upload the YT video to my podcasting host. For me, it's Anchor. same principle. As the crew have pointed out, I'm simply repurposing the video for both KZbin and for the odcasting. I don't know about Buzzsprout but I'm sure they'll let you upload the video and take care of distributing the audio portion. It's called streamlining the process and letting the one content, my blog pst be on all three platforms.

Thanks so much for these useful tips. I just launched my podcast recently, (through Buzzsprout, and also on all major podcast apps) and I have not yet shared with many people who know me as I’m still working through the comfort level of sharing such a personal creation. Once I get more comfortable with it, I will open it up to people who know me. But I agree I need to start sharing and getting it out there My podcast is called The Finding Sessions, where I share my journey from transitioning out of a corporate career, the next phase of life where I’m realizing that I never really had balance in my life, and I was tightly wound all the time. This is a journey where I share a thoughts and reflections on various topics with a bit of a meditative message at the end, I love photography, and my intention is that everything created under The Finding Sessions will include my own photography and sanctuary for everything positive.

Doing a new podcast for drummers. The Drummer's Confluence is a community of drummers helping each other advance their drumcraft for live performances. Moving into promotion phase now.

I haven’t started yet I’m definitely procrastinating. I have a very successful business and a good following on that business page, but podcasting is something I think I’ll be a natural at. I’m a little nervous and excited

Great advice for growing a podcast! We've been exploring the guest debater avenue to include different perspectives. Not sure they'll be up to speed on all the legal objections we throw out, so maybe we'll have a leg up on the competition! :0

I will keep going! BONUS BABIES podcast shares stories of those with a lived foster care experience (including kinship care, adoption, respite care and more) and the people who care for them---all via the unique 360 degree lens of a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer; that's me Jayne Amelia Larson. And thanks for the tips!

Having provided crisis parenting and foster care and then working with children/families as a therapist I have SO much respect for you. Yours is a job (even as a volunteer) that I know I could not do. Best wishes!

I just started a podcast actually called the Let’s Talk About It Podcast. I created it because I realized I wanted to have meaningful conversations about topics related to navigating life in our 20s, growing up, and learning as I go.

That was great advise, I feel I do most of those things but still haven't reached a big crowd. I have 23 episodes (2 Seasons) about people who move to a new country and their experiences and choices. It's called Worlds Collide but I will keep going. I enjoy doing it, it's great fun!

We are not great on YT but have had a long running podcast (most of our audience are listeners) about Real Estate News. It would be great to see a few videos on advice for those of us who have been around for a long time and leveled off but want to grow again & grow more. Thanks.
