How long to wait before dipping?

Hey man, Was curious about clear coat, how long after dipping do you have to clear coat an item? The OHW clear coat aerosol has a shelf life of about 48 hrs once activated, and I'd like to make the best use of it. Thanks man love the content thanks

I know you use one hit wonder paint, but can any spray paint be used for the base?

What do you use an airbrush for when it comes to hydrodipping? Like stenciling on symbols and touch ups? I hear different things from different channels and would like your opinion please.

My set up is not suer fancy but it works for me: Iwata neo (50 bucks at hobby lobby) and Wicked colors airbrush paint. Opinions are like buttholes... everyone has one.

What is your rinse water temp.

Anything lower than your dip tank temp. Mine is usually about 70ish

Once you rinse what does the part feel like to the touch? I did a test lower and after I rinsed it it feels tacky/sticky. Is that the normal feeling? I didn’t clear coat it yet.

Keep rinsing until it feels smooth to the touch, should not feel sticky or tacky at all. I always rinse for a minimum of 10 minutes.
