After the article were BBC announced that they were going to release a girl “every month” and HyunJin was released. I was thinking 🤔 So do they already have the line up? Until BBC said that there’s 50 girls competing to become LOONA members. I am wondering if they’re going to do a TV show on how LOONA members were selected. I think it would make so much sense because there is so much footage plus unreleased footage as well. If so I would be so hyped up and LOONA will also gain some popularity from it too.

I wasn't really clear on it either. The teams A B C were not really explained. I think it's talking about the 1st 2nd 3rd place winners. The 1st place winner will debut with Loona while the other 2 can pick a different group to go to. You can see on the picture, some groups have less members so it might be beneficial for them to move there so they have a higher chance of being selected as the representative for the next time they choose a girl. Or they can move to a higher level team. Perhaps being in a higher level team, you have greater chance of being selected. Again this is just me trying to extrapolate and make sense of the limited information that has been provided.

I'm just going on a limb and say that Heejin is their best member. She is very talented despite her age. It's no wonder she was chosen first. They probably had only a few girls in the beginning and when each month a girl would debut it spark attention to others to become trainees there. So it would make sense if they now have 50 girls. I'm just hoping BBC pick wisely the final two girls. They need someone to be solid main vocalist. Haseul is so far their best one. Someone like Yeonjung or Yuju's vocal ability. I'm very happy Heejin, Yves, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Hyunjin, Haseul, and even Vivi debuted. They all seem solid. Still learning more about Chuu.

I agree with what you said about Heejin. She can sing, dances well, and can even rap. Not to mention she's a stunner - her visuals is really no joke. I've watched all her Mixnine performances and I can see how she's able to carry herself on stage and stand out amongst 10+ other girls even for some of their missions. A real performer and versatile artist indeed. With regards LOONA needing a strong vocalist, this is just my opinion tho but I really do think Chuu (10th girl) has really great singing techniques. I don’t know up to what point her vocal ability is at but she certainly has a technique and colour of her own, which for me makes her singing stand out from the other members. Some people on twitter were saying Yves has some great vocals too. And remember, having strong vocals or being able to reach high ranges isn't everything you need to be considered a good vocalist. It's also about technique and stuff.

i think they already did the elimination before HeeJin's solo debut, or maybe even before BlockBerry Creative announced itself and its project to the public. they had this all planned out, and figured out. BEFOREHAND... which made me speculate that all the other members that were scouted by outside sources (via IG, like JinSoul) were also scouted beforehand, and their debut was already planned out. but they further considered and evaluated the concept each girl was best suited with, so they had to shuffle the girls' unrivalry and debut dates (but most likely the first 4 members were decided through LOOΠ∆TIOΠ)

Unclear about this system what the clusters represent... Was there an A, B and C cluster for each theme? Or clusters with a mix of main vocal, dance, rap, visual and cute girls and each cluster sends the type that is wanted for that month? It's sad so many don't make it, and you wonder what happens to them. But it's like that in music (and movie) industries everywhere. Maybe millions of girls want to have be famous, hundred thousands apply and get a chance to audition, only thousands get selected a further stage and only few make it to become a trainee... And there is a limited amount of groups that can be and stay famous. Recently (re)read a book called Idoru by William Gibson. Highly recommend it, so nice. In it someone remarks there is a limited amount of fame (like a resource) to be distributed among all celebs and it just has become too diluted. Cool idea, I think there is some truth to it. I think BBC has a cool way to compete with the big companies that have the advantage branding their groups. You either go big or go home!

LOL almost a year later and i found this video. Very interesting. I do think -like Heejin said- that there weren't alot of trainees in the beginning, don't get me wrong i LOVE hyunjin, yeojin, vivi but it just seems weird that for instance Vivi won over Chuu. I heard that Yves joined later but i feel like alot of the members joined after loona 1/3 i really don't think that they are not talented but (again for example) Yeojin winning over Kim Lip? Like that is just not realistic. I sound so rude but i hope you will understand me. Glennza Gelasius nah... Bbc is planning to debut a boy group on 2018 or maybe starting anew project boy group but probably with a different system. The ones who doesn't make it probably will have to train again or leave the company if they want?

Well she can sing a lot better in Chinese and is a pretty decent rapper. Plus, I'm pretty sure BBC was also looking for star quality and potential(Which Vivi has a lot of), not just someone's who's just good at singing/dancing/rapping. Plus, it's a 12-member girl group, not everyone has to be the next Ailee in singing, the next Boa is dancing or the next Yoon Mirae in rapping.

Idk why that would matter anyways? Choerry is decent, and LOONA is an idol group. Idols sing, dance, rap, act, etc.... They aren't just looking for singing skills, they're looking for potential & star quality.

I just want to mention this. HeeJin said that there weren’t that many trainees while she was training. So there wasn’t a lot of competition. Then when kim lip was released (I believe so) BBC said that there were 50 girls competing for the last members of LOONA. So this means that they got more trainees. I’ve read that Yves got accepted in October 2016 so I am guessing there’s other girls who got accepted late.

I don't think the Yves thing is true. I heard the same rumor, but I believe she was already a Polaris trainee, and that instagram post was worded weird Idk, it just doesn't make any sense to me that BBC would debut Yves after her being a trainee with them for a few weeks. Edit Oh wait lmao, it was October 2016? Or 2017? All the rumors I saw claimed that Yves got accepted 2 months ago, which is what didn't make sense to me
