First off, I would like to apologize for putting this up almost 2 weeks after the MV release. It was such a busy week when it came to Loona with the Line&Up event and unit promotions, I just didn’t have enough time to work on the analysis. I wasn’t really intending to do one for ‘love4eva’ because frankly, there wasn’t much to analyze. But since many have asked for one, here it is! Secondly, thank for your continued interest with my videos. I know many of you have been waiting for an analysis of love4eva from me. Thank you for your patience! Please note there are others who also make other theory videos and I suggest you also check them out for a different perspective! Lastly, THE DEBUT MONTH HAS BEEN SET! Mark your calendars for the month of August! For those who have been here from the start, our 2 years of waiting is almost over! Something I haven't seen anyone mention is how in the lyrics there's "You know I'm egoistic" - but it's Yves that sings it? So that got me thinking, what if the title of Olivia's solo doesn't allude to her being an egoist for loving herself, but rather Yves being an egoist for dropping her, letting go of her hand for selfish reasons which made Olivia hate her and want revenge

After seeing this video i have come up with another theory. Remember Gowon's first teaser quote: 'Your God person puts an apple tree in the middle of a garden and says, do what you like, guys, oh, but don't eat the apple. Surprise surprise'. That was part of a quote from the book The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. In it is another quote i find interesting: 'There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable'. What if, the whole Eden was just a test for the girls on whether they would eat the forbidden fruit(rose), despite being told not to. Ultimately only Yves, Chuu and Gowon passed the test and that was actually what the headmistress was clapping for, not for Olivia as she had failed the test. With the 3 of them passing the test, the original Eden was destroyed and replaced with the new Eden, which is essentially the main loonaverse, 1/3's world. Along which Olivia was forcefully pushed out of the old Eden, which she was contented with. That's why Olivia was not seen eating the rose and she had lost everything: her home, her friends. This started her hate for Yves which is referenced in her teaser quote as well: 'You, who was sent by God Destroy all the things without hesitation'. She was talking about how Yves destroyed her everything, turning her into an egoist. She had to find her own place in the new Eden and that's where she met Heejin. What happens next we have to wait for the next MV.

I'm practically a new orbit and I'm just wrapping my head around this entire loonaverse and it's very very interesting. I don't know if anyone has talked about this yet but was there ever a theory before that talks about the connection between Choerry and Hyunjin? First of all, I think both of them look kind of similar. But other than that, I think there's more to Hyunjin's role. Like you said, if we base on her color, she should be a part of OEC as it is a primary color like Kim Lip's Red and Jinsoul's Blue. OEC's world is the part of the Mobius strip where the "flip" happens, which explains why they seem to have powers. What I'm saying is that Hyunjin may be an original OEC member, even before Kim Lip and Jinsoul, and has her own powers as well. Many are saying Kim Lip can travel through time, jinsoul can teleport, but bear with me when I think Hyunjin possesses the ability to transform. But she is a part of 1/3, why could that be? I think she preffered to live in the mundane world, especially having found friends. Remember in her introductory mv, she was seen wearing a cat head mascot, a representation of her cat symbol, might be, but what if it also meant adjusting to the normal world, which explains why she is not fully human yet (cat head, human body as she can transform). But then at the end she found Heejin while still being in her unusual form, but Heejin wasn't surprised. Eventually they became friends and she became more adjusted to the life of a human in the world of 1/3. And then we get introduced to OEC members, but Hyunjin is gone. The unit cannot become a complete circle with a member missing, and so they needed a new one. Kim Lip and Jinsoul's combined powers makes Choerry's color, purple, but also makes the most powerful member in the unit, as Choerry seems to be the only one who can travel through dimensions (in other words she can transcend time and space, which if you think about it is actually Kim Lip and Jinsoul's individual powers) Choerry was invited to the OEC when Jinsoul gave her the Cherry. Hyunjin knows about this (because of her previous connection to OEC), and sees that Choerry still seems a little lost, considering the amount of power given to her. And what happens is that another version of Choerry is seen "blinding" her with mirror reflections and guiding her to places. Mirrors, reflection, herself, mirrors, doors to another dimension, know where I'm getting at? What I'm saying is that Hyunjin probably transformed herself into a mirrored version of Choerry to explain to her about the presence of another dimension and supernatural powers (and OEC itself). This connection between Hyunjin and Choerry or OEC in general could explain the random Hyunjin appearance in Girl Front. She might be the mysterious girl seen running around the OEC members, which could further explain that she knows about OEC before it was fully formed, but the other members are not fully aware of her. Hyunjin's power could also explain why she was the only one who didn't have a face to face interaction with Go Won as her counterpart in Go Won's video. In Yves' case, ViVi appeared to Yve's AFTER she ate her apple. Haseul also appeared to Chuu AFTER she rejected Eden, same goes to Olivia Hye meeting Heejin. In all cases, they have ALREADY fallen out of Eden when they met their 1/3 counterparts, which means they are already on 1/3's universe. But when the cat appeared in Go Won's MV, it was before she ate the pineapple, which means that Go Won was STILL in Eden at that time, and in the world of Eden, Hyunjin's reflection (since Eden is a reversed or mirrored version of 1/3) is A CAT, as she is not originally human. Hyunjin may be able to transform into anything but her original form, I think, is a cat, which explains why she found it hard to transition into a normal human and often ended up having a part of her still a cat (her head) before meeting the 1/3 members. In the flipside, Hyunjin is a cat, in the OEC world, she's in total control of her powers, in the 1/3 world, she seldomly uses her powers (eg. assisting Choerry) and learns to fully become human. That said, as Go Won is still in Eden when the cat appeared, I think it's safe to say that that cat is Hyunjin rather than just a representation. That's just my wild guess though.

María Velásquez Thank you very much i slept in the morning just coming up with a theory I was literally so invested in it. If you don’t mind reading a very long comment, I actually modified this theory quite a bit and expanded it for the creation of other girls. Personally I believe using color theory as a base theory gives us how the individual members of loona are realized. I originally commented this theory on Croissant de LOONA’s intro analysis theory but i’ll post it here in case you or others would want to read it. It’s very long so you can skip it if you like. But here it goes. This theory started with a question that what if we all have just been fooled all along? That what if Olivie Hye was actually the first? Since we're focusing on colors anyway, let's get some help from the color wheel. And also, of course, this theory wouldn’t be complete without borrowing Croissant de LOONA’s thoughts, which was the powerhouse of all this color theory (I just modified some). Now, at first, there was no color, only black and white, which tells us that Olivia, being able to represent all shades between black and white, is the first to ever exist, and she's not quite human and she lives in a place called Eden. Three girls, however, are quite special. This makes it so that Sweet, Crazy Love begins our timeline. In the MV, Kim Lip and Jinsoul are starting to awaken their inner colors, thinking there might be more to the world than just black and white. Notice that here, we don't see Choerry activate her odd eye, and that's for a particular reason to be explained later. The power itches inside Kim Lip, so she activates it fully through Eclipse, awekening her superpowers and allowing her to move into the mirror dimension (the flip side of the Mobius strip). The eclipse is actually a very important event in the Loonaverse. Notice how Kim Lip is the only individual girl to have an eclipsing moon in the intro. Her introduction, primarily, shook the Loonaverse and paved way to the other side. Originally, their intros wax to one side and fade in a crescent, but her eclipse showed that waxing from the opposite side is actually possible to make a circle, which is why there is now a waxing to the right or to the left. Additionally, her eclipse changed the background from black to white, because naturally, it gets dark during an eclipse. Looking at it this way, the eclipse created a bridge between the two, mirroring worlds, one of which is Eden. Now, Olivia doesn't want this. She tries to stop Kim Lip but fails to do so mistakingly adding a shade of white to her (when she should have added black), accidentally creating Heejin and her pink, which, with the eclipse, is the mirror equivalent of Olivia. At the same time as the eclipse, Jinsoul is already Singing in the Rain, trying to awaken her own powers. Olivia, with her failed attempt, proceeded to go to her and throws a shade of black, but by then Jinsoul has fully awakened so she is not severely affected and her blue does not change. Olivia does, however, manage to get some black into Jinsoul as even before awakening, she has already made moves to catch Jinsoul's attention eg. pulling down Jinsoul's headphones in the train (yes I believe that was Olivia as she is the only member who can move through black and white shades). The third girl is actually Hyunjin, who has trouble realizing her powers and has taken quite the repercussions because of it, which I will expound later. These three girls are the primary elements that could destroy Olivia's black and white world, but where is Hyunjin? Heejin awakens from a black and white world into one that is full of color. This is not what is actually happening, but rather a vision of what Heejin wants, as is seen through her "pink" or positive and rose-colored viewpoint. But to do that she needs to have the primary colors, and there are some colors she particularly want: yellow, orange, and green. Now as Hyunjin is supposed to be a primary color, it makes sense that she also need to activate her powers, which I believe is the power to transform into anything, a shape shifter, if you might (I actually believe Kim Lip's power is time travel and Jinsoul's is teleportation). She fails to fully activate her powers and is sent to a different world. Hyunjin, being lonely, seeks to find friendship. She lives alone and is very fond of cats, as is seen in Around You. With her powers, she occasionally practices to transform into a cat, but as her powers haven't fully awakened, she cannot fully become a cat. She meets Heejin at the end of Around You, and, surprised that Heejin wasn't afraid of her half-cat half-human appearance, forms a friendship between her. Conveniently, Hyunjin is one of the colors Heejin wants for her vivid world. And with their friendship, building confidence inside Hyunjin, she eventually gains control of her power, but she can no longer activate her odd eye because someone else has already taken her place. While Hyunjin and Heejin form a bond, Kim Lip and Jinsoul become desperate because they couldn't complete their circle without the third primary color. So instead they mixed their colors and powers together to awaken Choerry, who obtains the ability to travel between dimensions. By the time Hyunjin is ready to awaken, Choerry has already appeared. However, since Choerry isn't an original, she is only a mirrored version of Hyunjin. If we look at the color wheel, purple is directly opposite of yellow, in a way mirroring it. This makes it so that what Kim Lip and Jinsoul created is only a mirrored version of the original Hyunjin, which explains why her right eye is the odd eye, as opposed to Kim Lip and Jinsoul having theirs on the left. Following this, if Hyunjin has awakened her powers on time, she might have had her odd eye on the left. (It is important to note that whenever Choerry is around, there's bound to be some mirror-like effects to her surroundings). What happened instead is that Hyunjin secretly helped Choerry in her task as someone who gained an Odd eye (which is originally supposed to be Hyunjin's responsibility). With her ability, she transformed herself literally into a mirrored version of Choerry, which is the other Choerry we see in Girl Front, explaining her very random appearance in the video. I also firmly believe it is Hyunjin circling the three girls, symbolizing their frustration in finding the third primary color. She circles them while the three girls gather with a map in the center. The reason why they couldn't find Hyunjin at all is because she transformed into Choerry. (I'll continue the rest in another comment)

Also in the 'yyxy' logo, we can see that two y's (Chuu and Yves) and the x (GoWon) are connected, but the 'x' is also connected to another 'y' which should be Olivia. and as for the title of the song, 'love4eva'... Yves is pronunced as 'Eve' (like Adam and Eve) and Eve's name in my language (italian) is 'Eva', so the title could mean 'Love for Yves'? idk if it made sense lmao

I think it should also be pointed out that when Olivia was lost in the forest the pane turned to red and its the same in her solo when the pane turned to red and we saw the eye of the wolf opening up. This is where she got decided to get her revenge and eat her fruit to escape (I think the falle angel and feathers was because the obedient goody too shoes, an angel, and she finally rejected eden, causing her to be a fallen angel).I was thinking that maybe wondering through the forest Olivia stumbled upon the dear. I also think Go won and her had a connection as when they were eating at the table I thought Olivia was eating a pineapple and did she also appear in Go won mv as a shadow. She was also the only one to turn back to Olivia. I think Go won wanted to escape and fit in with the other girls. I find it really interesting as well that love4eva gives me the indication that the solos did not directly happen as they looked (because they were in Eden in that mansion. It was just from the perspective of each member and the solos were even more of a metaphor than we thought.

Yeah, I was wondering about the connection between Go Won and Olivia as well. If Olivia is the late shadow in the end of One and Only, is she also the shadow mentioned in the lyrics? There's an interesting correlation between Go Won's "In this universe, it isn't a coincidence that I met myself" and Olivia's "It isn't a coincidence that you met me, it was fate, a blessing for me". It could be that Go Won rejected Olivia in order to love herself/leave Eden.

Possibly and for Olivia to leave eden, she also had to learn to love herself and stop depending on others for love and such what not. You can only depend on yourself. I mean Olivia was afraid to leave eden because of the consequences and so because of that Go won left her behind. They would probably be the yves and chuu of eden, minus the over admiration of chuu.

Seunghee Tae I specifically pointed her out as a fallen angel because of her nature in the love4eva mv. I think they specifically put the fallen angel and feathers in her solo, as she didnt want to disobey eden and was probably regarded as the most "pure". So its kind of a big deal that she actually disobeyed. Thats what Im thinking😅

Interestingly, the theory that has been circling twitter about Olivia killing Vivi as revenge on Yves is one to point out. Olivia is mad at Yves for leaving her behind (dropping her metaphorically as we see in the egoist MV), and we know Vivi was special to Yves as they made a connection in Yves 'new' MV. (and that vivi was still human.) However, I don't believe Olivia killed her, instead I think maybe she either tore out her eye or she hurt her badly enough to were someone from OEC (Jinsoul?) or one of the other girls had to step in and change her to an android in order to live. If the eye theory is right, maybe Jinsoul gives Vivi her blue eye? We know Jinsoul also has a connection to Vivi since their initial meeting in everyday i need you MV, and we also know Jinsoul's power could be teleporting which she wasn't doing in her MV singing in the rain. Instead she was running. (lost her eye and her eye and her power?) This leads me to my final point, I think Jinsoul was trying to warn Vivi about Olivia. In the egoist MV the words' fallen angel' behind Jinsoul is written in hanzi and who do we know to be the only Chinese member? Vivi. So if Vivi is the only member who can understand Chinese, why would Jinsoul be trying to communicate to any of the other members in a language they can't understand? It's to my belief that Jinsoul was trying to warn Vivi of the destruction Olivia is capable of in this state of mind, and is referring to Olivia as the 'fallen angel' from Eden.

I think that instead of the three MVs being before love4eva, they went through only in the girls' heads. In new, Yves questions and disobeys God, and she left the "school" and got punished for it. Chuu saw all of that a mile away, and when Yves invites her, she just follows along. With One&Only, I think Go Won was persuaded a lot, feeling a bit stalked and with Yves trying to convince her, and in the end, she decides to go along with them. But your points about Choerry are very very interesting, I like them very much. And there's a theory that says that Yves left Eden, enjoyed and came back to get the girls. She met Vivi and was interested in her, because of course, Vivi is technically not an angel and Yves' counterpart. But honestly, I don't know what to believe anymore and I think I'll wait for the repackage for more answers.

Kim Lip is the headmaster in Love4eva in my opinion, hence her red clipboard. Girl Front and Sweet Crazy Love is the story of Kim Lip looking for her students to return them to Eden. In Kim Lip’s eclipse she sings about wanting all the colors so maybe she’s collecting them for herself and puts together a team (Odd Eye Circle) to search for them. If you go back to Eclipse, Girl Front, and Sweet Crazy Love and pay attention to Kim Lip’s lines as well as her demeanor it makes sense, to me at least. So the timeline goes YYXY then OEC but I’m still not sure how Loona 1/3 fits yet.

Touching on the reverse order theory, Yeojin is possibly outside of the Loonaverse or in the forest that Olivia was alone in. Vivi is probably in the forest that Olivia is in too, bc Olivia probably turns her into an android. Frogs, wolves, and deer all live in the forest, with deer being a main prey of wolves. Yeojin could also be some sort of ruler in the loonaverse. Also, Hyunjin and Gowon are probably unit variables, which probably has to do with them not meeting. Ys, maybe it's not a coincidence that the 3rd unit is YYXY, tend to be dependent on the X value. Seeing that Gowon had a crown on in One and Only, the word "dependent" seems like it could come in handy. In a monarchy, the lives of citizens are dependent on royalty. You could turn yyxy into a typical algebraic equation of 3y=x. 1/3x is equal to y then. 1/3 IS THERE. Is this saying that Gowon has the most power, with each member of yyxy only being a third of that? Hyunjin probably replaces Choerry in OEC when she goes to 1/3 as seen from the Girl Front cameo. Gowon probably replaces Choerry in OEC when she goes to yyxy; I guess that'll be at the next study group.

I have a theory that Choerry was supposed to be in loona 1/3 and hyunjin in OEC. she’s yellow and with kimlip and jinsoul gave all the other colors to the girls, but because they were so different, Choerry came to bring balance between our 2 goddesses(???) also that other version of loona 1/3 has another concept and dance and Vivi has a soul there (dark hair) so maybe what happened to her changed everything...

i've seen another interesting theory that suggests that Go won is actually linked to Haseul. Go won is the x in yyxy, while Haseul has a "boy" version of herself. even her song title in Korean is "boy, girl". this theory gets even deeper, when you see yyxy individual teasers, with Go won being the only one with a dress, while the other 3 are wearing suits. to me it makes more sense Haseul and Go won being connected, instead of Haseul and Chuu. aside from the fact that they're both the December girls, there's nothing else that explains their interaction in Heart attack

Btw, to the connection between Yves, ViVi, JinSoul and Olivia Hye: In “new“ we see the moment where Yves denied Eden and ate an apple. Like you said “love4eva“ plays after “new“. And in our favorite moment, where Yves was rollerskating with ViVi (better watch out, Chuu!) she was wearing her Eden-uniform. So maybe it was during the time where Yves was always sneaking out from Eden and secretly meeting ViVi. 1) in the girl front video from line&up, it's revealed that Yves was running around the girls in Loonatic, and it is also seen that Yves gives Choerry a compact mirror. That's how choerry connects to yyxy 2) the end of love4eva definitely leads to Egotist, Olivia hye is drooping her head. My take on the storyline of Olivia Hye, is that since she was left out of leaving Eden with the rest of yyxy, she's angry. She's kinda a teachers pet, but thinks the teacher is unfair. Then she realizes how to love herself "from now on, I'll myself instead of you, I'll live on". Unlike the rest of yyxy, *she doesn't need Yves to love herself*. All of that combined is now turned into the egoist mv. Olivia Hye is still in yyxy because she rejected Eden, just not with Yves. But unlike gowon, in some way that is unknown. If the girls are "angels" because they're aren't in Eden anymore , and Olivia Hye is a fallen angel, it's because she left out of revenge. So far, the storyline doesn't go PAST egoist, just explanations and what happened before. So we don't really know if Olivia Hye actually killed Vivi or what she does once she leaves Eden. Egoist Mv explains her actual falling from Eden. Then meeting heejin and thats it. Tbh, idk if the scene with Heejin is just first member meeting last, or Olivia Hye looking to Heejin for guidence. Also interesting, Vivi and Olivia Hye both weren't included in their subunits, but apparently Olivia Hye killed (you who was sent by God, kill everything without hesitation or something) Vivi(also interesting Vivi is represented by a deer, a human, and an Android). Vivi meets Jinsoul, Vivi is in new as a human, Jinsoul is in egoist, olivia Hye resents Yves. Idk, this connection barely has any information to make theories off of.

Hi daebak jjang, i have a theory about vivi (unrelated to this video, sorry) . You know in egoist, olivia hye burnt the cassete tape that was in eily, so i believe that the cassete tape represents vivi memories of loona(since cds of loona were played in the tape) , so its like burning vivi memories loona, causing her to have no feelings about loona. When burning vivi cassete tape, u see red and blue, which combined=purple, red,blue,purple=oec, therefore vivi had an odd eye=oec, why not like oec's odd eye?(i dont know), but if u look closely, vivi odd eye in love and live is purple

One thing that I am most curious about is Kim Lip's existence in the loonaverse, she's the only one that doesn't have any connection to the other units, she only appeared in her own mv, her unit and the ot12. I want to know more about her place in the loonaverse. She is also not included in most of the member's/unit's story, unlike the other oec members that is in both 1/3 and yyxy. Just, who is Kim Lip? Oh, wait. She is slightly connected to Gowon and Chuu because of See Saw, but that's just one line... and I can't think of anything that would involve her to them. I hope that we get more of Kim Lip's part in the loonaverse soon.

The fact that this is the second to the last predebut/unit MV theory before the complete LOONA is making me all nervous and hyped up. And additional fact that the scene in Egoist where yyxy members are seen in parking lot wasn’t shown in love4eva. It seems like there will be really some high possibilities that the repackaged will be different. and them dropping hints or teasing it by the break dances (yes the original and the other 3) it could really happen. And another another fact is when LOONA said that their debut concept will be the “darkest” so these unsolved mysteries and unanswered questions seems to have a very very “dark” answers. which is giving me chills tbh. In Girl Front Choerry was searching for the other members, BUT perhaps she was focused or at least prioritizing a certain one, in this case Hyunjin who she found. Now the reason she was looking for Hyunjin might be because Yves entrusted her with Go Won's apple and hyunjin is the "upside down" image of Go Won, making Go Won the "upside down" image of Hyunjin. So by finding Hyunjin she also found Go Won, since as a bat she can, in this case, "walk" upside down. If this is true we can also pinpoint ourselves in the story timeline from both views. {Edit: the *highlighted* part was somewhat shown in the video, I just wrote this before finishing so as to not forget} *It should also be mentioned that from the reverse theory, Vivi the "upside-down" of Yves is the one left alone while Heejin is somewhat let's say the "popular?" one in 1/3, whereas Olivia is left alone in yyxy with Yves being the "popular"( xD ) one. The MVs are also similar, especially at the end where Olivia is trying to do what the others are doing and ends up lost while Vivi tries to run and get tired like the other girls until her battery runs out(?) ( I don't remember clearly).* So based on the members debut the reverse is: Heejin-Olivia Yves-Vivi while based on the event it is:Heejin-Yves Olivia-Vivi This also solves why we see Jinsoul in both Vivi's and Olivia's MVs on a side note: In "Everyday I love you" Vivi is seen liking the male character, which turns out to be Yves since her memories were distorted and all, but Yves is Vivi (in reverse), so EILY was actually a song about self-love, just like new and they most likely took part at the same time( + since Olivia is angry with Yves it is also another reverse). I just can't wait for their 2nd MV and maybe the full group debut (in case the 2nd one doesn't solve the mysteries, and let's be honest it most probably won't xD )
